make far to much food at tea time?

i seem to make far to much all the time especially when i am making pasta
tonight i made spaghetti and meatballs and no joke there is enough for prob another 2 ppl to have a full plate left over!! and thats after ive put some away for evan

Only when its pasta oh and sometimes too many spuds!

Dan usually does spaghetti and there is always about twice as much as we need, he still cant measure it right!

I always do tons of pasta too!

When I cook a roast dinner I do enough to feed the street!

Pasta I find so hard to judge! Sometimes I put it on plates before I boil it to give myself an idea of how much to use. x

I'm not too bad with pasta, but rice, Thats where I do enough to feed 10 people!

I dont think ive ever cooked rice I just buy those microwave pouches and then there's no problem with portions! Pretty expensive though we rarely have rice.

yea i do this too.. wehen i make my own rice (not the packet crap where u add water lol) i always make too much!

I can't cook rice thats oh's job.

Pasta my mum always told me that an adult portion is 3oz so i always measure. I do 7 1/2 oz for me, Matt and Immi and thats usually about right.
For rice i have a rice maker that comes with a measuring cup otherwise i have no idea.
Chips i'm awful, i either make far too much or way to little. I can never cook the right amount.

Well my OH makes to much whenh does spag bowl, it just encourages u to eat another dinner lol.

Yep I do the same with Pasta - I'm such a greedy moo that I'm petrified I wont have enough so I end up over doing it.

Rice I get boil in the bag so it's ready measured. Thing I don't get is it says one bag serves two people erm?? NO WAY!!!

OO I always think that debs me and OH have one each if we get them. NOWAY would it feed us both!!
