A while back - probably this time last year, we all had a thing for buying blackout blinds from a certain company - that used velcro to put them up??

I bought the fabric then had to make my own, I forget why but basically sewed tabs of velcro on the fabric and stuck the other side of fabric to the window frame...

Anyhoo... is it washable?? I'm thinking so but it's a funny kind of fabric that feels almost suede-like on one side - it's the heavy calico stuff.

I really hope you know what I'm on about 'cos I'm sure you bought it Zee and were the inspiration for me making my own

Basically, any washing tips appreciated before I shrink the beggar or give myself extra work by doing a delicate wash then having a sodden piece of material that won't dry?! xx

The one that I had was washable (the type you just described) I just put in on a 40 wash. It didn't shrink but it still held loads of water.
Just make sure the day you do it you can get it straight out on the line to drip dry.

Ps - I actually gave in with them and got some blackout binds from M&S
