| i've put attempted as i've not followed anyones guidelines but i have noticed that if i leave him to cry he does fall asleep much quicker than if i pick him up etc. I never leave it longer than 10 mins and then i go in strock his head, give him dummy and 'shush' him, then i leave the room again. very rarely do i have to go in as he is usually asleep before 10 mins and i'venever had to go in twice! | I have done CC and suceeded with all my kids. It has made bedtimes so much easer and less stressful and ensures the kids get a good nights sleep xx |

| Ive used/use it. I think its very hard hearing your baby cry, Tayla turns into the exorcist but it really does work. The thing that got me through was reading a post before and someone said, if you start CC dont give in or the last hour your baby has been crying would be pointless! So when i get up to go get her and give in, i think of that! |

| when alasdair turned a year, he stopped sleeping thru the night. for months he was getitn up 5/6 times a night screaming blue murder. in the end i just left him to it. put a stair gate on his door and left him. little bit of tough loving. but i knew there was nothing wrong, he just had to break the habit of getting up out his bed just because he could |

| I don't know if it would be classed as CC, because Izzy is 99.999% the bets sleeper ever, like tonight not a peep though the monitor and will be like that for 12 hours.
Sometimes though she hasn't been able to sleep, no apparent reason, so its not sleeping training, but I leave her cry and she goes to sleep in 10 minutes, usually alot less. |

| Im like lisa. C is a brill sleeper but has had the odd night of being bad. Ive sat outside her room and left her to cry for 5 mins then gone in and laid her down and just said 'sleepies' then done same after 10 mins then another 10 mins. Its rarely taken more n three times and i dont tend to go longer n ten mins but it works for me |

| we used it around 7 months i think, as we had let her fall asleep on us til then, it was heartbreaking but we stuck with it, i will never forget we had a full hour of at around 12.30 at night and i was crying too, but i did the going in after 5 10 15 etc and she was worse after everytime i went in, so in the end we left her, i was laid in bed crying with adam cuddling and comforting me we still have times when she wakes in the night like last night and generally a cuddle will do and she goes back to sleep, last night wasnt so good, it took an hour and an eventual dose of calpol to settle her she whinged for an hour I dont think i will find it so hard this time around with Edith (i hope) |

| I've never really had to as such as Chloe has always been a good sleeper, on the odd time she is being a little sod I don't rush to her everytime she cries, I'd leave her for a bit and see if she settled herself, if not then I'd go and comfort her |

| Im going to sound such a nasty mum, but I do. but only when OH isnt here. He wont let me, we end up hvaing a full on argument about it. he doesnt think it works and think im neglecting her. makes me feel awful, but when hes not here, I will but not let her cry for ages. 9 times out of 10 she'l go. but I do feel awful. x |

| Yeah we used/use that method. Imogen was a brill sleeper till 5months when she just wanted to be rocked and held and she kept waking up for no reason and wanted to be rocked. It was hard the first night or so as she really wound herself up but after that she is now a perfect sleeper. Altho we did have to do it again again after our holiday but it took one night to get back to normal. She goes down straight away every nap and bedtime. |

| I don't plan on using it and never have, it makes me think of that nspcc advert where they say 'so and so learned that when he cries nobody comes' and it makes me feel too awful. |
