I've taken rich loads and first time he was 2 and he sat ok. But ny price we took at 18 months and she didn't sit at all.

Try him at one of the early morning films first, in a Saturday they only a couple of pound so not such a waste if he doesn't like it also.

My big thing is if they can sit through a whole movie at home, thenshoulf be able to at cinema.

Rich is a big movie person, but some kids are not.

I would love to take Aimee but I know she wont sit through it.

I took her to the Peppa Pig theatre production the other week and she wasnt having a bar of sitting down.

Some odeon cinemas used to do a mum/dad and baby screening, might be worth a try first? They are probably tailored for kids, ie a bit quieter etc

Havent taken my 2 yet though xx

Our local cinema has a kids club on a Saturday at 12. Its £1-£2 a ticket I think for adults and kids. The films aren't too bad eg maybe 6mths old, about to be released on dvd.

I havent tried Caitlin as she cant sit through a film at home, though maybe her toys distract her. I prob wouldnt consider it until next spring when she is 2 and half and I would def try a kids screening 1st! Other parents are likely to be more understanding of the odd squirm or shout and also its only a cpl quid wasted if after 10 mins its a disaster.

my niece wanted to go(she's 6) when she was up here last year so we tried taking lily-ann with us...i had to leave after 5mins as it terrified her and she was screaming the place down

if i tried to take lewis i know he wouldn't sit down, he'd be on the floor scrounging dropped popcorn! lol

Odeon and some other cinemas do sessions for babies and toddlers, they turn the lights up a little, the sound down and it's just for parents and kids so no-one minds if they make noise, might be worth trying that first

Ive thought about it... But Izzy only watches properly for 20 minutes max... so Wallace and Gromit or short things like Rupert Bear are the longest she will sit and watch.
