| Chloe came down with a cold about 3 weeks ago and was fairly oorly for about 3 days, then seemed to get a bit better apart from a cough that lingered, well we went on holiday and she was ok apart from coughing loads and a bit constipated for a few days, but in good spirits. We got back from holiday on Friday 1st April and over the weekend she got worse, being really clingy, high temp, vomiting about 10 times a day, so I took her to the doctors monday morning. He examined her and declared she had tonsilitus even though she refused to open her mouth! and prescribed pencillin for 5 days. After 5 days she had stopped being sick, but was still not herself, she'd been constantly complaining of tummy ache, and very lethargic, then on Saturday she got worse, her temp shot up again and was crying in pain from her tummy. I took her back to the docs on Saturday afternoon (our docs is open 7 days a week) and he examined her and said she had an ear infection and her temp was at 39c and prescribed some different anti-biotics. Well its Monday now and she's no better, I've just picked her up from MIL's and she's been asleep for two hours but is still really sleepy and her eyes are heavy lidded, her temp is at 38.9c despite having calpol and nurofen every 2 hours since saturday and she's crying from tummy ache. What would you do? Shall I take her back to docs yet again, leave it a couple more days or take her straight to a&e xxx |

| aww hun, i'd take her to a&e if she complaining of tummy ache, could be constipation, but i think she needs checking out to be sure, could be the antibiotics she had are making her feel poorly.

| I would have thought if the anti-bs were going to work you would have noticed an improvement by now. Take her back to the docs and tell them to try again. for you and Chloe |

There are so many bugs abotu at the moment, know 3 or 4 babies/ toddlers in hospital at the momet with all differnet bugs and viruses. nasty. Also I would to put your mind at rest. | Walk in centre or a&e. I wouldn't wait till tomorrow for the docs.. I always find I panic during the night if they have a temperature Keep her nice and cool, don't bath her!! give her a nice ice lolly or ice cream that'll help bring her temp down. Wish her better xx |

| thanks ladies, well we've been to a & e and still not a lot wiser, she was recording a temp of 39.4c, they took a wee sample which showed signs of infection, then blood tests which was horrible, she cried so much, again they showed a high level of white blood cells, they said her glands in her tummy are swollen and one of her ears is still red, so they've changed her antibiotics again, and sent her urine off for further tests, so all we know really is that she has an infection. I just hope this sorts her out, i hate seeing her so poorly |

| Poor little chicken. At least now maybe the meds will work and they will know more from the tests so should be sorted soon.
Big hugs to Chloe and you,
