Is it wrong that I want to hit my friend. She went on for 2 hours this afternoon about how tired she was as her daughter doesn't sleep. She goes down from 7.30 until 11.30 and then 12 until 7 every night. Jamie rarely goes down before 11.30 and still quite often only goes an hour and is then up for 2 despite the fact he doesn't want feeding. She didn't once ask how I was and mug that I am I then watched both her kids while she slept. I wouldn't mind but I had about 3 hours sleep last night but she didn't offer to sit with Jamie while I had a sleep when she got up

tbh I think I might have thrown something at her
some people make more of a situation to get attention or people to feel sorry for them and it's not on! then there are people that just get on with it and get walked all over.

You've been a really good friend by minding her children and listening to her. She's probably tired and not thinking that you're not getting much sleep either.sounds like she's being a little thoughtless. I wish I had a friend like you who would watch my kids. I'd probably want to hit her aswell. Sounds like you're barely getting any sleep. Maybe get in there first with your lack of sleep and she will see actually compared to you she's not doing bad on the sleep front.

Glad its not just me. The lack of sleep is not as bad as it sounds. I can function normally on 4 hours and am reasonably happy with 5. Last night was just worse than normal

Is ask her to do it for you and see what happens.

I doubt she realises how massivly selfish she's being ... next time she moans i would point out she is lucky as gets more sleep than you!

She probably doesn't realise or she's just plain selfish. I think I would have told her how lucky she is and she should stop moaning. But lack of sleep is really hard to deal with, people don't think right, I guess just because her baby sleeps those hours doesn't mean she does.

Joseph has only just started not waking up @ 2am and 4am still for bottles, and yeah I was knacked but thats what new babies are like, I was lucky with Hannah she slept through from about 7 weeks, it wasnt till she got to 6 months she started teething and stopped sleeping :/

Leo never slept more than 2-3 hours in a go untill he was 8 months then it was only 4 hours at most until about 1!! I would say she is lucky!! I am lucky now though as he loves his sleep these days
