umm children in cots obviously Wink

just wondering what you have in your lo's cot? elijah has a couple of stuffed toys and a blankie, but it looks so bare...when did you stop worrying about having stuff in their cot (if you did)? i have a giant miffy (Wink) who i think would like to live in there and a couple of little cushions...i wonder if that would help eli feel a bit more snuggly in bed? or am i best to leave it...hm!

Before Imogen could move around in her cot much (took her a while to figure out crawling Forwards) I was quite happy for there to be teddies at the top while she was at the bottom end. Then once she was moving around OK I figured she was ok to move herself out of trouble - them cot bumper went on before she was 1 as well seeing as they sell crib bumpers I figured what's the difference?

The baby whisperer says no to teddies in bed (aside from one essential favourite) because they form a distraction to sleep, but I've found that if the toys distract her from my absence then she will go to sleep eventually on her own, it just takes a bit longer.

Hope that helps xx

Charlie has a few teddies his quilt and pillow, it's not unheard of for tree to be a couple of toys in there as well.
He knows when he gets put to bed that he has to sleep, he then plays with the teddies etc in the morning of he fancies it!

Arwyn has 4 "teddies" (3 rabbits and a dolly) that I call her bed toys that sleep 2 either side of her head at night time and a bunch of uninteresting but pretty ones are at the bottom so if she's awake in the morning she can go down there to play Laughing I've got her bumper that she likes to hold onto when she's sleeping, and I usually find her head buried under it somehow!

Hannah has her pillow and duvet and then whatever Thomas sees fit to chuck in there with her Rolling Eyes as of this morning that is a big teddy bear, a glow seahorse thingy, a couple of small soft toys, a rattle and a matchbox car Laughing

Sophia has always had teddies in her bed, always at the bottom as she always tended/still tends to wriggle upwards rather than down. She also has a pillow and a duvet. I think she has a big pooh bear, a teddy slightly smaller, a small floppy teddy, two rabbits, lau lau and maybe one other, not sure though. She also has one of those crunchy shaky ppull on rattle thingys attached to the side.

Havent foundtthem to be too much of a distraction yet at night. She has just recently got into playing with then in the morning which is nice coz she can play on her own for a bit giving us a bit longer for sleep! She likes to put them to bed and 'pat' (actually kind of bludgeon LOL) them to sleep! Bless!

Mandy xx

Tyler doesnt have anything in his bed - I don't want to distract him and he sleeps fine without them. he's just got a cot bumper and he goes in his sleeping bag, he just has small moses basket size "blanky" that he cuddles.
