i brought some gripe water for Connor today, just because he seems to be in pain during and after feeding, im not too sure if its down to reflux or wind, so thought id see if gripe water made any differnce...anyway..
he is 7 weeks old tomorrow, but only 1 week old corrected age, can i use gripe water? as it says not to use under 1 month old??
anyone know? xxx

ooooh im not sure at all - if you feel you really need to use it tonight you could give nhs24 a ring for advice, or ring hv tomorrow?

yeh i could wait til 2mw i suppose - tbh im not even sure he needs it - he burps just fine (burps like a man!!) just didnt know if it would help with the feedin as he seems to be in pain think may be like reflux or summin?? oh i dont know lol, yeh will give HV call tomorrow thankyou for replying xxx

could be reflux, you could ask them if you could give some infant gaviscon a try, it helped elijah loads and it's pretty quick to see a difference if it is an acid problem

oh ok thankyou will ask about that! he isnt particularly sick a lot (as in volume) but just seems as if he gets a nasty taste in his mouth and cries like he is in pain during feedin and for about 15 mins after (not like constant screamin, just lets out a lloud cry every now and then:| also coughs a lot during feedin - if tha makes any sense at all???
