I managed to get Jamie down easily at 8.30 which is unheard of. However since his woken up a few times screaming. Tried leaving him initially to see if he'd settle down but got floods of tears. Although he often wakes a lot he isn't normally in a state like this. I've no idea what it can be. I don't think his in pain as he settles down fairly easily on me. He is snotty and wheezing but thats not unusual for him. I changed him into a thicker sleeping bag because he felt cold to touch but that hasn't helped. Have changed his nappy and fed him but that didn't help either. Have got him back down and am hoping he stays down (although hubby will be home in a min which will probably wake him up) but wondered if anyone else had had this and had any idea what to do

i vote calpol!!! could be anything really, does he have a temperature? (i guess not if he felt cool). could be growing pains, sore tummy, very likely to be teething troubles, maybe he is just feeling lonely tonight!

i would honestly go for calpol if he isn't being sick or nothing else seems wrong, sometimes it really is just 'one of those things' and you will wonder what was going on tomorrow. we found gaviscon helped elijah but that was ongoing from when he was teeny so i don't think reflux randomly starts at jamies age (could be wrong but it seems more likely to be connected to sniffles or teeth).

so if you have any in the house, calpol or baby ibuprofen...even teething gel/powder just to see if it makes any difference (or even just distracts him out of it)
