| Imogen's birthday is thurs we've bought her a dolls house (we've had this for a year and kept putting off giving it to her)
From others she's got a till and fake food, shopping basket, mini cooking set, kiddizoom plus camera, a night time dolls set (dolly, crib, changing bag) and sand pit. Not sure what else she'll get.
Don't know if that gave you any ideas. I'd love to buy her a coupe car but tbh just can't be bothered to have it around the house/garden. She's already got a ride on car and trike. |

| Seb got the Tesco £10 train set and plays with it loads: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-4474.aspx (It says from age 3 but as long as they don't try to eat it I think it is fine at age 2. By age 3 I expect they will want junctions etc which aren't included.) Although the plastic signs etc look a bit naff he actually quite likes them.
He also got toy food which is good for vocabulary and could be used with a kitchen or teaset at a later date.
He likes packs of flashcards (alphabet snap, number snap etc) - just spreads them out on the floor and identifies them rather than playing any sort of game at the moment. |

| We have got Caitlin 2 of the Happyland houses from ELC (have now decided to put one away for xmas, they were BOGOF), a postman pat teddy that turns into jess the cat, a duck shower bath toy thing from tesco and a few books. Prob get her a nice bday outfit and some sweeties too. I dont really go too mad at birthdays - £30-40 ideally, as we will also be taking her out for the day and spending money then.
My mum has got her a Brio wooden cooker with some pans from ELC. Her granda & nanny have got her a mini trampoline. I think SIL is getting her a kitchen to keep at her house but is refusing to tell us which is pissing me off a bit. We told MIL to get her bath toys but whether that happens or not.. she usually gets her pj's/clothes too. A friend is getting her a peppa pig or dora folding chair.
For xmas so far we have got her a silvercross pram, (getting a doll to go with it), the other happyland cottage, and I think im ordering a Drs set from Argos today. Thinking about the kiddiezoom camera too. |

I really want to but my mum and stuart are putting me off saying she is far too young. My mum likes kids to be kids and thinks Im skipping ahead and forgetting about simple toys that Caitlin would learn more from. Might just go ahead and buy it anyway, the worst that can happen is it sits unused for 6 months or a year before she grows into it. |

| I thought she might be a bit young, and tbh she probs is too young for the editing functions it has, but she loves playing with my digital cam and taking pics so i'd rather she play, experiment and throw around her own plastic one rather than mine. |
