| Finally going to write it down properlynow shes home and safe, apologies for the bits that are repeated. Amelia arrived suddenly on the 22/04/2011 with absolutely no warning at all. We'd had a busy day as it was also my wedding. I'd purposely booked the wedding for when I was 27 weeks pregnant as I wrongly assumed there was no chance she could come then. I got married at 3pm in a simple registry office do. We then had the reception at he pub my oh works at which luckily for us is only 5 mins from the hospital, if we'd been at home I'd be telling a very different story. everyone was having a great time and myself and oh's dad were the only sober ones there. At 11:50 I asked my dad what the time was and I run to the toilet because the taxi was coming at 12.There i started bleeding.....ALOT. Having had a previous placental abruption I knew exactly what had gone wrong so I rushed out trying to find my oh, or anyone that could help. I managed to find m mher at first who was singing on karaoke. She gave me the stinkest look ever for interrupting her lol I told her I was bleeding alot and by this point it was pouring out of me, it was even in my shoes. She run off to find oh and his dad to drive me to hospital. There wasa bit of commotion outside trying to get the car out as a taxi had parked in fornt of the exit and refused to move, cue my dad and oh threatening to break every bone in his body if he didnt move . The journey only took 5 mins but it felt like a lifetime. I thought I'd lost the baby and my first thought was luckily we havent got Ollies headstone yet because shes going to need to go on there. I was completely numb I couldnt even cry. I was trasported back to when we lost Ollie. When we got to the hospital oh stuck me in a wheelchair and ran through the corridor likea maniac all the while I was leaving pools of blood everywhere. We eventually got to maternity and it took what seemed like forever for them to let us in. Thankfully the midwife who delivered Ollie was working, so she knew what had happened instantly. She managed ot find the heartbeat and a doctor came to scan me. At this point i was screaming to get the baby out. I didn't have my notes on me so the doctor was trying to tell me my placenta was low and that was causing me to bleed. THankfully the midwife was able to explain my history because at theat point Amelias heart stopped beating. The crash team rushed me into theatre and while they were prepping me the midwife found Amelias heartbeat. She later told me it was actually mine she found but didnt want to scare me. Amelia was born at 12:18am 28 minutes after I first started bleeding and 2 mins after her heart stopped beating. She had to be resusitated after she was born but came back fighting with the doctor when he was trying to intubate her. In the end he gave up and put her on CPAP. I lost 5 pints of blood. I woke up from the anesthetic in absolute agony and demanded to see my baby. THey wouldn't let me because I was unstable. 6 hours later I was up and walking and got to see her before she was transferred to a different hospital. THey were going to transfer me to but I didn't want to wait all day for an ambulance so 16 hours after my section they reluctantly discharged me so I could go see her. The pain was unbearable and I cant imagine how I managed I thought I was going to die but there was no way I was staying without her. Amelia was 2lb 8oz born and spent 9 weeks in hospital. She is now 13 weeks and 6lb 10 oz and a wee terror |

| awwww you really are an amazingly strong person. I can't imagine how you managed to make it from the toilet to the hospital without hyperventilating and passing out from worry - I know I wouldn't be able to speak let alone find my OH or anyone else to help. |
