Guess Autumn's here then It's chilly but not quite cold enough for heating - although I have clothes that won't tumble dry so might need to put on the radiators? (there's no point putting them out in damp air, is there? or will they magically dry?! ) Also - our windows have started with the morning condensation - what is that about? They are double glazed! Is it just ours that do this?! xx

| Nope, got windows open here.
Heating wont be going on until at least end of October. Or when it goes below 14 c |

It's so bloomin expensive too Jen!! Where abouts are you Kelly? We have windows open a bit when needed to clear the condensation, but I'm getting colder and not sure if we'll make it to October without using heating - would like to though! x

The price of natural gas is pure extortion up here..especially considering that we live on one of the largest natural gas finds ever! We do have a lovely wood burning stove downstairs that I prefer..as there is nothing more warming than wood fire heat! xxx

It still seems really warm in our house too, so no heating going on any time yet. Our heating automatically kicks in if it gets below 5 degrees c (when its turned off completely) and when its on the timer, it kicks in if it gets to 15 degrees c. I will prob be putting it on in Oct/Nov time. We have had new central heating and double glazing this year though, so we are not used to having a house so warm all the time! x

No heating on here. Matt and i are both really tight with things like that and would rather put a jumper (or two) on before putting the heating on. Luckily Imogen is a really warm child, she never seems to get cold. I guess we're lucky in that we live in a maisonnette so someone is below us and i reckon they must constantly have heating on cause it's actually always quite warm in our flat.

I had it on 2 afternoons last week, but its odd cos its chilly but just after a while of being on and Izzys room is too warm - so I can't have it on at night (her radiator is knackered and cant be turned off!)

That's another thing Lisa, our radiators are either off or full blast - no dialed control except one in the lounge, so it can get really hot upstairs too! So will try and hold out with socks and layers for now (try telling that to bean though - pull his socks off and announces 'gone' ) p.s. let us know your thoughts Lisa on Playskool toy / cheshire meet / mini meet / cot mobile part / art portfolio when you get a chance (didn't realise so many q's till I typed them just then! ) There ya go Meg: -

Ours has been on a couple of times in the bedroom cos Eli has lots of nakey bum time in there and the latch on one of our windows is broken so it's a bit draughty. I have also put the boost on a couple of times while feeding cos I get really chilly I'm too weak for Scotland!

At what temp would you put on your furnace? What is everyone's ideal room temperature?

I like it to be cool at night so 18c or around there is fine (I can manage much cooler really but hubby complains) but when I'm bf I need it to be warm like at least 20 to be comfy

Ya..love a cool room..with warm blankies! Right now the temp outside is hovering around 10..and goes down to 0 or in the - range at night. Perfect room temp is 20 for us. Already dragging out the room space heaters for the kids bedrooms and have packed up the A/C unit...I am shedding real tears atm!

Southerners I put ours on a couple weeks back a couple of days but its seems to have warmed up again a little bit so I'm keeping it off as long as I can. We all get our blankies out in the morning and at night. I'm not sure what temp ours is on - I can't work the fancy arse boiler so I just turn it on till the house feels warm the turn it off again . We've only been here 12 months - maybe I should think about learning how to work it? xx |

I sometimes feel a bit nippy and want to put the heating on but I am trying to hold out after we got a gas bill last year that looked more like a telephone number!!!!! Though it is a bugger when you have clothes that can't go in the dryer that you want to get dry and you have wet washing all over the house!! xx

It's still really warm here, I've had all the windows open over the weekend. Chloe's room thermometer is showing at 22c tonight so I can't see the heating going on anytime soon
