This group is in my area and a few of my friends have joined (with both boys and girls). I hate it, why would you want your children - especially toddlers to dress like an adult for the day (and if you scroll down to the bottom of the page the pics of little girls IMO are horrendous! Little girls are beautiful enough without makeup, fake tan etc).

Even if I wanted to there is absolutely no way I'd get Immi to sit still long enough to put any make up on her face or do anything like that to her hair. Must be torture for some of those little girls.

BUT if there was a talented toddler/bonny baby type thing on at a fair or a cute picture comp in a local paper I may be tempted. Eg NO make up, normal hair style etc and toddlers just being themselves.

Nope but agree with snoops. If it's a baby comp then yes.

Baby competitions are completely different in my view, they are usually just for 'cutest baby' and that type of thing so no ridiculous clothes/makeup etc (I have entered Libby in a couple of these).



I just think its awful, I didnt like the thought of it anyway (even though I know its only for one day and for charity) but when I saw the pics I just felt a bit sad really for the little girls.



Looking at Libby in her comfy clothes and scruffy hair playing in the garden getting mucky - to me thats what kids should be doing.

Exactly Susan. Kids grow up to quick theses days. When my kids are 16-18 I want them to be immature still not older then their years. I had to grow up at 13 to look after my siblings. I want my kids to be kids for as long as they can (though I draw the line at 25)

I think its horrible to make little girls look like women. Ellie isnt the type anyway, I stuggle to brush her hair, she's a natural scruff!

kids should be kidsfor as long as they can be, i just think its horrid to be honest. little girls playing with makeup to look like mommy i find cute and perfectly normal, but being made to wear makeup at such a young age, what abotu their skin.

this might come across as over reaction but i think its child abuse !!!!
you watch some of the programmes and its clear the children dont really want to be there !
the ones that do want to be there , well its all they know , give them a week of playing like proper children and i bet i can guess what life they would rather !
