For the first time in a very long time our incomings are more than our outgoings!!! Never thought I'd see the day

Managed to swap insurers to save £25 a month and got £125 for the priviledge and Stu's had his yearly payrise announced today along with other savings just by swapping things! Woofrickinhooo!!!

We were just paying the bills and having no life basically whilst going further and further into debt. It's only £29 a month left over at the moment but it's better than 29 too short .

If you are really struggling, have a look at CCCS. They are fab - would deffo have been with them had we not been trying to sell the house (would have messed up getting new mortgage for new house).

With us since we went bankrupt we now have zero credit available to us, so we have to relearn how to work with 'money in bank' only.



So we do have enough money to live, but not a lot in addition to this, so was wondering how you were coping really.



Because we cant use credit, we have to be so on the ball with money now, and with everything going up im feeling it more than ever.....surely they just cant keep raising prices, but not salaries!!!!!!!

Ah I didn't realise you've gone bankrupt. In that case budget, budget, budget!!! Write every outgoing down and then split the left over between anything else - kids, treats etc. Once it's gone it's gone until payday again.

I have absolutely everything written down. Also, use cash! It's very easy to forget what you've spent when using cards so withdraw any spending money and use it as cash only then you can't go into bill money by mistake and leave yourself short.

Value food is your friend!! If you can get bread, milk etc on offer get it and freeze the excess. Works out cheaper in the long run.
