| I don't know how many times (i've lost count) people (mainly older folk..no offence) have thought Chloe is a boy...it drives me potty:evil: . I've had one bloke ask how old is 'he' when Chloe has been wearing a pink top and leggings with hearts on and I replied SHE is 5 months and also would you put a boy in these clothes!!! On tuesday whilst at the docs this couple started talking to me and her husband thought Chloe was a boy and then while I was having my blood taken this old couple came into the room walked past Chloe in her carseat and said 'aww what a lovely baby...I assume he's a boy....Why the feck would you assume my baby is a boy:evil: ...apparently because she had jeans on..WTF. In Tesco's yesterday Chloe was having a shout (she has learnt how to say dada) and this old fella says to Chloe go on 'SON' have a good shout...I swiftly walked away before I said something rude:evil: . I would rather people just ask if she is a boy or girl than bloody insult us...I find it quite insulting because some people obviously think Chloe looks like a boy (even wearing pink clothes). I don't think she looks like a boy and I have asked other people if they think she looks like a boy and they have said no...so what is it about her that makes other people think she is a boy? Sorry for the waffle but this has really peed me off this week Here's my Gorgeous Girl |

| To be fair I think most babys under 1 could pass for either sex when just in a nappy. It really is just hair styles, clothes and willys that tell them apart. Very few babys look an obvious sex. In saying that people must be so dumb to think that a boy would wear pink hearts!!!!! People used to say he about Caitlin occassionally too. I think every parent experiences it. Older people I think get particularly confused as years and years and years lol ago boys used to wear pink and girls wore blue. Dont ask me why it changed but apparently it did and I think thats a huge reason why old people particularly get so confused by babies sexes. if you watch lady and the tramp the baby boy at the end is wearing a pink romper suit . Id still be annoyed if I was you, but its just one of those things that mums have to bite their lips about alot of the time! Oh and btw she is a real cutie! |

| Ive had it with both girls even when in pink etc. One woman in tescos said 'aw is he tired' and I replied' he is a she' and she had the cheek to answer 'well she looks like a boy!' I was fit to be tied And then there was the day when I tok C out in a purple poncho and bakerboy cap in her smarttrike which is SCREAMING pink and someone said oh is he having fun and my answer was 'yes, yes he is...in his big pink gaymobile!' Neil nearly died on the spot giggling I suppose it is hard to tell when they dont have much hair but like you say when they are in pink you would think ffs though what snoopy says is interesting. I never get it with C nowadays but its still regular with Awen so just have to bite my tongue, even yesterday someone suggested I let 'him' snack on a pork pie Lots of biting your tongue til her hair grows a wee bit Or velcro some pinkypops to her xxx |

| Aw hun, no I dont think she looks like a boy at all!! (shes gorgeous BTW) We used to get it alot with libby even though by 6 months she had rather long hair so always had a clip and dressed her head to toe in pink (we also had a comment when she was on her hot pink smart trike - wish I'd thought of that reply though ) Funnily enough we dont with Dexter, I think people automatically say 'he' for some reason (even though I never would!) |

| I love those replies Mario I've recently had someone call Stephen she which is completely beyond me, there is no mistaking at this age that he is definitely a little boy! I think people just don't think before they speak, there have been a few occassions when I've been unsure about a babies sex when talking to the mum or something but I deliberately won't say anything until I know, but generally I think pink clothes are a bit of a giveaway! xxx |

| I can see why it winds you up but I do think people automatically say he and I do think a lot of babies look like a boy because of the short hair, etc. Saying that if I'm not sure I'd always just say what a lovely baby and you'd think the clothes would be a giveaway. You have a gorgeous little girlie. Don't let it get to you |

| I think Chloe looks really girly. She has a really girly smile. Some people are so stupid and rude. They assume if a baby doesn't have long hair then it's a boy.. no they just don't grow hair for ages!
I had people call Immi a boy when she was in a pink dress. That's just ridiculous, why would I put a boy in a pink dress?!
Ever since Immi's hair started growing pretty much everyone has realised she's a girl. |

I used to get this with paige when she was.first.born but she.did look like a old.man. it was only until her hair got really long and i could tie it back people stopped calling her a boy. even when she had a.bright pink blanket over her i used to et Aww how old is he?!
My friend used to get it worse with her little girl. When we.we're both out together we used to always get Aww a little girl and boy.. okay she wore Alot of blue but it was girly.clothes and she.had bright pink trainers on x |
