contemplating putting Danielle into a 2-3 group , i had not planned to put her to any form of nursery for another year but she is so delayed with speech and never interacts with other children and is never left with anyone really that i think it would do her the world of good especially with learning to share

have just called the local community centre and have the option of going to the parent and toddler group which is on 2 mornings a week for up to 2 hours and its £1 per session ( coffee for parent and juice and biccy for child included in price )obviously i would get to stay with her , this might be better in terms of preparing her for 2-3 group i have been here before for 1 session but was very much groups of mums and a few on their own ya know
or
2-3 group which could be up to 5 mornings a week dependant on spaces , i think i would only put her in 1-2 days a week though and its 1 and half hours in the morning at cost of £5.50 per session , lady on phone was not sure if there was a waiting list or anything just told me to come in and get a booklet

decisions decisions

im swaying towards going back to toddler group and maybe myself trying to interact with other parents

any thoughts/suggestions appreciated ladies xx

We thought about sending Immi to nursery/pre school because of her speech and interaction with children but it was so expensive for nursery and most of the pre schools wouldn't take her for another 6months. We've started going to a sure start toddler group and Imogen has really come on, in terms of speech and the way she reacts to other children so atm i'm happy to leave pre-school till 3. It's also been great for me to make friends and get out and about.

However for £5.50 a session i might try it out. maybe go to toddler group once a week and put her in one session a week.

Aimee started pre school this morning and is going two mornings a week.

We pay £7.50 for 3 hours and when she is 3 she gets it free, so we will send her 5 mornings at that point.

Having Lily and being pregnant again would just make life too difficult trying to take her to a parent session (and I am also going back to work for 2.5 months in Oct, so its not an option) and I figured that getting Aimee in a routine and used to being away from us wont come as a shock when the baby comes x
