I thought that because every year we get crappy stuff in that usually go in the bin so this year I am ordering crackers that have finger puppets in, we will use a shoe box and make a little house or something and play after dinner

We usually get some cheapy ones but thought we would have a treat this year. Only £7.99 so not too shabby x Can't wait for them to come and I will have to resist the urge to pull them all

my mum went through a phase of making her own crackers - you buy the kit and then can just add in whatever gifts you like. She is Christmas bonkers though and always loved having an excuse to get even more presents for us.

At first I bought crap and binned the contents and then I bought expensive ones but in all honesty they were filled with a more expensive version of crap that lodges in a drawer before it hits the bin but still hits the bin anyway. So now I buy the prettiest ones that will go with my decor and I don't give a hoot if they're filled with good crap or rubbish crap
