| As those of you on facebook will know. Chloe took a chunk out of her head yesterday on the coffee table which resulted in a trip to hospital and having her head glued back together.
She's absolutely fine, and was so braver, but I can't stop thinking about it. She really took a lump out of her head, which was quite deep and bled loads. I know head injuries always bleed lots but it's really affected me.
Normally I'm fine when people hurt themselves, but with her I fall apart. I feel like a terrible mum because I panicked a bit when she did it and now I keep picturing her head and the horrible noise it made and it's making me feel sick.
Why am I reacting like this??? I think I've lost the plot |

| I think its normal Mandy - it is a bit of shock more than likely, just try not to beat yourself up about it when you do get it in your head, just say to your self she is fine, you got her help when she needed and it and yeh you panicked but so would most mums and you still did what was right!
I have never been in that situation, so I probably wouldnt react very well either! |

| i think that's totally normal, i can still see elijah moving in slow motion when he fell and skinned his face, i can remember every second of it and it makes me well up!
i think you will feel better in time, as lisa said you did everything you possibly could, and you just can't prevent everything, you will feel better soon! |

| Aww i think its normal to panic when its your own child, and plus you have a lot of crazy hormones in you at the moment probably making you feel worse about it all.
I'm usually quite laid back when Immi gets hurt but yesterday she threw Joshua off the bed and I burst into tears. He was fine, stopped crying after two mins but it made so upset. |

| I panic too mandy its just one of those things. its hard to focus sometimes
we had a work experience pass out a few weeks ago and I think I was in more of a state than she was. imagine what id be like if it was hannah? when she falls I just freeze and normally someone else gets to her first. give me a dying dog however....and I will know exactly what to do.

| Thank you, am glad it's normal. It's the first proper accident she's had where she's got more than a bruise or scratch. I guess they'll be plenty more in years to come. I'll be a wreck if she ever had to have an operation or something |

| It's Normal and I can tell you it doesn't get easier. When Charlotte was little she trapped her thumb in the hinge side of the door and cut the the top of her thumb off. I couldn't even drive I was so hysterical so my sis dropped us at a&e and parked the car. When she came in looking for me she was told that charlotte was been looked after and they were still trying to calm the mother (me) down! Hope Chloe is ok xxx |
