fcukinG ELC have lost c's leappad. I emailed today asking where it was and got an email back saying it was delivered at 730 last night and signed by someone called Green. Theres no mr or mrs green at my house and anyway neil was in at 730. So i told them to find out where it was and they said ring back in 2 hours.

I also rang yodel and shouted at them and they said they would ring driver and find out and be back to me within 24-48 hours. Theres no way im waiting that long so Im ringing ELC again in a mo. Ie checked my neighbours for 2 houses either side.

Im so friggin angry right now they didnt leave a card or anything so if i hadnt emailed who knows how long it would have taken to sort

Didnt Lisa have the exact same trouble a few weeks ago?

Well ive rung ELC back and they said Yodel hae emailed them to say they sourced the job out to HDNL and they are contacting HDNL at the moment. So the lady said to ring back if there is no answer by close of day so Im ringing again at 430. But i also gave them my number to ring. I live at 54, I know 53 isnt called Green and hes out, 52 didnt take it nor did 55 or 56 and theres no answer at 50, 51 or 57 and im not trekking any further up the street atm cos I cant see why it would have been left that far away though i tempted to go direct across the road as it might have gone there. I remember Lisa haing this problem and Ive just told them their service is completely shoddy (Yodel that is but ELC need to ditch them)

I suppose its all down the the delivery companies that they use rather than ELC! But I agree that ELC need to take a good look at the couriers they are using.

Well im being quite pleasant to ELC as its not totally their fault. Yodel on the other hand Ie justbphoned back again for an update and the woman said I should go knock on peoples doors and ie said ive checked my neighbours 2 doors either side but im not knocking on the doors of random people I dont know because their driver cant do his job properly and leave me a card stating the location of my parcel. They are still saying it will take 48 hours to get back to me as they are 'investigating'

Well as apparently the work was sourced out to HDNL would you guys sit back and wait for yodel or would you call HDNL?

I agree I'd phone HDNL. Perhaps we should all vote with out feet and stop ordering anything from the ELC as they clearly can't get it to the person who is supposed to have it

i absolutely hate hdnl and yodel, in fact all couriers i was about to make an elc order, thinking twice now

Tried to phone HDNL and it reroutes straight to Yodel so no help there. Im ringing ELC again in an hour then gonna ring yodel again and biatch at them about the 48 hour crap. If they actually pulled their fingers out they could have an answer in hours cos they are giving ELC answers. Neils gonna go knock some doors tonight while i get girls in bed. UNfortunately cant get to library to check electoral register to see if anyone in my street is called Green and 192 credits are expensive

i would suggest not going out and knocking on strangers doors - they lost the f*cking thing they should find it, if not they can send a replacement next day delivery....i wouldn't be traipsing around looking for it tbh the sodding driver must know where they left it.

HDNL is Yodel, they're changed their name, and they are still shockingly bad!!
I don't buy from company's that use them if I can help it!

Well ive rung back ELC and spoken to a very helpful chap called Sebastien. He has written them a very snotty email asking for more details and apparently yodel have to reply within 4 hours. Only they shut at 6. So he is going to ring at 6 on my mobile to tell me if they have gotten back and if not he is going to ring me again tommorrow am. IN the meantime they are now out of stock but he has placed a preliminary hold on one from the next batch due at end november so if its not located I have another one reserved

Obviously the ideal is that they find mine but if not at least he has saved me one.

I'm sure its bollocks about the 6pm thing... seeing as they deliver til 9pm! There must be someone in the office if drivers are still out and about!

More than likely. He seems quite irate this chap anyway as he said hes got a 2 year old waiting for one too so he knows how he would feel if he were me and he is planning on keeping an eye on the situation for me. Bless him. I think I love sebastian

It really shocks me that in this day and age they are that rubbish at locating where they have delivered parcels. It's not exactly rocket science!

About ten mins ago I was cooking dinner and the doorbell went. Some chap had jumped out of a van that said Swindon Car and Van Rental and said 'This is your delivery' handed it to me and buggered off. Does lend itself to a few questions

First he obv lives in my street as he was going to the dead end to park so the couriers delivered it to god knows which number instead of one of my immediate neighbours-how freakin odd is that?

Second thank god he is honest!

Third how the hell does this chap know Im not robbing the place lol!

Anyway who cares its here safe. Ive checked the box to make sure its in there but not checked the machine itself yet as kids eating dinner so gotta watch Awen. But ive rung elc and stopped the hold i had on one on the next batch so nobody else loses out. When Yodel deign to ring me back they will find they suddenly develop a new arsehole though

Yodel didn't deliver our modem, because couldn't find house, so took it back and just left it on a shelf...

We get phone line in, manage to ring phone company who then inform me will be 3-5 working days and that it was a failed delivery and I hadn't called to rearrange, then I shouted a little....
Yodel deliver on day 3 and find addy with no need to call for further instructions, which I had put in delivery as new house not on satnavs. This was all last week,
Had email today to inform me I have a delivery tomorrow... Another modem perhaps lol

I know for a fact couriers have 24 hr staff because that's who russ works for not yodel mind and he always getting calls because computers are down
