| when you were preg what was your feeling about sex ? (of the baby not the dirty in the dark ) im not naive enough to deny that this could be a boy and i will obviously love this baby no matter what sex , i already have 2 boys yet i cannot begin to imagine having a baby boy , maybe that does not make any sense, maybe after having D i have just gotten so used to having a girl and girly things that i cannot imagine boyish things again even down to names im always thinking about girly names very rarely do i think of any boys and certainly do not have any favourites , this really is getting to me . I am worried that when i find out sex what my reaction will be , i am in no way heart set on a little girl just , expected to be girl in my head ,, bet that doesnt make any sense either i have planned to have a sexing scan regardless but decided the 75 quid and petrol costs on top was not wise just before xmas but i think i should really think about at least booking it so i can find out either way ,, then there is the fear of booking it , its 30 quid deposit but because my "timing " for gender scan falls in the nov/dec/jan i am worrying about snow ! , the centre is in aberdeen 70 miles away and i would not drive it in snow ( roads could be closed anyways ) but then there is a risk the trains are down if it is snowing ,, i wouldnt want to lose my deposit, the last appointment they have on offer for me is the 14th january i have my 20 week scan on the 16th december so maybe if i am lucky i will get a wee squint then but i wouldnt ge any conformation |

| i totally knew elijah was a boy, all along i was totally sure then found out at 20 weeks. i would wait til 20 weeks then if in say beginning of feb you are still stressing about wanting to know you could find out? that way the weather might be a bit better to get to aberdeen (omg i wouldn't drive those roads in the rain nevermind snow ) |

| the centre i want to go to will only see me until im 24 weeks the last appointment they have to offer me is 14th january i want to go there as they offer the chance to see in 4d free of charge and thats something i have never done however i guess my point is purely to find out sex so there is another company that will see me up to 32 weeks in aberdeen so if all else fails i might just have to do that , i am actually suprised in myself as the company i want to go to would see m as of last monday and im usually so impatient so i am very suprised i was not there on monday morning at first available appointment |

Im glad we did find out this time though as my OH thought maybe we were having a boy and he would have had a bit of a surprise when another girly popped out x |

| i hoped lily-ann was a girl but i was convinced lewis was a boy, it didn't even cross my mind that he might not be a girl..i had no boys names and was devastated to know it was a boy(i tended to see males as monsters) but after a few days the idea settled and i love having a little boy, he's the sweetest most affectionate little thing i have no feelings either way of what this one might be and we have agreed not to find out as we've never had the surprise. do they not tell you at your 20week scan where you are? i would go ahead and book the earliest available one if you really want to know...but i'm an impatient biatch so it's not surprising i say that lol |

| I was convinced Caitlin was a boy - WRONG! We found out at a growth scan at 38 weeks (my hosp dont tell sex at 20 wk scan either). I didnt mind either way what I had but do remember feeling a bit down when we found out, not because I didnt want a girl, but because Id got it wrong and had even bought a pack of blue baby grows and a t-shirt I was that sure. (Everyone else thought she would be a girl and I think I was also annoyed they were all right lol) This time my gut instinct in 1st few days was girl. Maybe like already said its because im used to having a girl. I was a lot sicker this time and again maybe linked that to carrying a girl. BUT everyone else thought from day 1 its a boy this time. Though I think once you have one sex ppl have a tendency to guess you having the opposite next time. Also as pg progressed im a dif shape to when carried Caitlin & have def been tireder & sicker, so either carrying a boy affects me or its just a 2nd pg thing. My friend has bought boy clothes for me, ppl keep accidently saying he, im focusing so much on boy names.... tbh if its a girl now il be so shocked, because everyone was right last time. Again I dont care what I have - boy great I have one of each and stuart gets a son like he would like, girl - great, name is easier, Caitlin gets a sister to grow close to, already have clothes/toys suitable... Basically my 1st insticnt was girl, but now Im nearly sure its a boy because of everyone else.... erm so yeah I dont have a clue actually and I was wrong last time anyway! Useless reply!!! |

| I didn't know with Chloe I was hoping for a girl but didn't really know, this time I'm convinced I'm having a boy, I feel so different to last time that I can't imagine it being a girl again |

| With Rowan I knew, right from the start I knew.
With Hermione I did'nt I just could pick anything up within me to tell. When we were told she was a girl we were in shock for a few days (we went in expecting a boy) Then I had another scan at 34 weeks so I asked again and even I could tell she was a girl.
At the birth when the midwife pulled her up she said "wow he's a big boy" I said What? Are you sure? she then said hold on i'll check, oh sorry no it's a girl |
