to measure the inside of elijah's cotbed. the mattress has always been a pain in the arse to get in and i have never managed to get it properly into the frame, but it hasn't mattered that much because a) the sides have been on and b) elijah has never spent more than 3 hours in there ever.

so i measured the inside today and it seems to come up 65x138cm, whereas all cotbed mattresses are 140x70cm.........should i try a different mattress and try and shove it in?? maybe the one i have is too firm to sort of fold it and get it in. obviously the thing is too old now to take back. what shall i do?

It's not really that much difference is it? But if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. Where did you get his cot? Could you maybe go back to the shop and see if they know who stocks the right size?

What's the make of the cot? Most of them do mattresses designed to fit their own cots

the cot and mattress are john lewis, if we had had chance before eli was born we would have rung them (got the cot up and realised 2 days beforehand) haha i have been practicing squashing one side in while kicking the other side down, the opposite side just pops back up which is driving me mental, there must be a way to squash them in....i will enrole mr.mari

So if its shorter and narrower than a normal cotbed attress how come its too big for his cotbed? Or is it a cot he has?
