just cos elijah wants to chew chew chew and he was fine with toast....surely these cant present a greater choking hazard can they???

i remember pinky saying ava wasnt impressed with them, but we have them in the house so im thinking i might just give eli one after brekkie (yes...brekkie, it was a long night ) just to munch on to try and get this pesky tooth through!

I think it's just because that's about the age they start having lumpy and finger food if you wean at the recommended 6 months xxx

I would give him it. hes not far off 7 months anyway. Guess it just depends on the baby. at 7 months hannah wouldnt have been able to eat that as it took me ages to wean her she was still on purree.

nahh i dont see the problem, i gave oliver finger foods from just befor 6 months x

thanks ladies, i will give him some water and a cookie later on and see how he goes - hes still on purees but the porridge i have made nearly always has lumps (haha not deliberately) and hes fine...then yesterday i made banana and ebm mash and he loved it....plus toast, carrot...yeah i think its cookie time!

Caitlin couldnt have managed it at 7mths but like steph cos I didnt start Caitlin til 6mths and due to a run of colds etc she was still on fruit pots, purees, porridge at7mths.

I did give her them at maybe 9mths though and she loved them. They turn to paste quite easily when sucked. He will prob love them!

I would only ever take the age things as a guide as they are so cautious. C was on 12 month stuff by 7/8 months cos she started at 4 months

I think it's just because you should start weaning at 6 months and they probably wouldn't be ready for this until at least 1 month of weaning.

they're a bit weird though they taste quite gross and are an odd texture!

hahaha me and hubby ate some last night (the snow the snow its hard to get proper food! hahaha not really an excuse anymore), they were ok - the apple and ginger ones, went alright with a cup of tea

he has been weaning for just over a month and we arent that careful now about texture, i will give him a cup of water and have him in his highchair - ive got to get this toothpeg through! or frighten it back in! it cant stay where it is

christ, suck it indeed! he just bit the whole end off with his gums and tried to swallow it! i tell ya...weaning is more hair-raising than alton towers i need to toughen up

thats what i mean about the texture being weird... rusk is probably better for something a bit firm that needs some sucking... we found these just fell apart... stupid

he is still devouring it, but i cant even look - daddy is on baby watch again - i need to get a grip or the poor baby will only eat purees for his whole life!

thats what i didnt like about them, the organix ones are a much better texture, have you tried him with any toast fingers yet ? crumpets cut into fingers are good. x

yeah he had some toast last night - i think that was better than the cookie, when we go shopping im going to try and get the organix ones but i dont really want to get the farleys sugar ones!
