| I know there was a post on facebook's banda emergency but i can't find it now! I think Noah's screaming was down to constipation as he sleeps reallly well on the days he poos, and doesn't settle when he doesn't poo. What natural, easy remedies are there? can't bear to see him in pain anymore And how to give them? He won't take a bottle or a dummy, is quite fond of the calpol spoon though! Thanks for any help!

| The only thing that works for Thomas is massaging his tummy in a clockwise direction or doing the 'I love you' massage if you know that. I've been drinking peppermint tea to help Thomas' tummy, that's more for his wind but he gets very constipated too. It tastes rank though! xx |

| Is he weaning yet? If so apple puree is good, if not Mario recommended diluated fresh orange juice (not concentrated) to me when Dexter was constipated.
Bless him, hope he manages a poop soon xx |

| Thanks xx not weaning yet, probably from the end of this month though - exciting! Is the orange juice ok if they're not weaned yet? how much do you give and do you have to dilute it etc? |

| They make infant drops called colace. They don't cause cramping, and work as a stool softener too to help him pass his poo's. Worst case scenario..are those suppositories. Matt really suffered with this as a baby too. x |

| yeh the cotton bud up the bum does work and straight away. Just smother the cottony bit in sudocrem and slowly pop it in his bum and take it out again, then voila you will have poop! |

| Have tried the orange juice (yesterday and once again today) and tummy massage (thanks for the link! he loves the i love you massage!) but still no poop Will try sudocrem on a cotton bud again today and see if it works this time - poor little man hasn't been since wednesday! He seems quite hapy and smily in the daytime but cried every time i put him in bed last night and didn't settle until 12:30am Is there anything else I can try? |

| Are you bfeeding? Both my girls really suffered, so much so that we had to take Isla to a and e to 'help' have her poo removed. The doc told me to eat lots of grapes as it comes through the breast milk as a laxative x x x |

| we were told unless elijah hadn't been in over 7 days (actually i think it was over 10 days) they wouldn't intervene if he was bf so please don't worry too much. orange juice is the thing to do (drink loads, you can also mix a little with water and feed it to him if you are really worried, a less acidic version is prune syrup) |
