Ladies need some thinking heads on

For our wedding package we are only allowed 50 guests sitting down and an extra 30 on the evening (there is no way we could keep to just 30 extra on evening as only 2 of our friends are coming to the sit down).

Any how lol, we have 55 diffo sitting so that leaves me with 25 for evening guest eh? it is going to cost us an extra 17 per head for the evening buffet if we want extra people

We have now have 70 diffo's Shocked Shocked on night and 9 children. So that is an extra 45 people on night plus 9 children which i will have to pay for.

So all in all we have 125 adults (plus the people who are at the wedding breakfast 55) + 9 children.

So my question is how many mouths can I get away with not feeding?

Does this make sense lol.

I'd say cater for 2/3 and there should be plenty!
When I worked waitressing for weddings people were always told to cater for all guests but that's to get more money, there was usually always food left over!

Sorry to thread jack.. but always wanted to know this...We had a carvery/seafood buffet for our reception dinner, and why could we not take home the left overs? I remember asking, as there was quite abit of food remaining, and never got an answer but - it's standard procedure. I paid for it..so why couldn't I have it? x

Jen that probably more about food hygiene than staff taking it.
Foods only allowed out for certain periods of time before the risk of contamination kicks in, I'd imagine with sea food the risk is pretty high. Of someone were to get ill you or they could sue and it's not work it or a company.

I'd cater for 100 and also have your cake cut up as extra,

Not all will turn up, want to eat etc.
