This time next month will be my LO's 2nd birthday and we're having a PARTY

It will be at our house and there will be about 8 (max) kiddies between the ages of 6mth and 3yrs.

Am looking at the party lasting about 1.5hrs (maybe 12.30pm-2pm)

So I am looking for ideas on little games for them, (pass the parcel etc) what other things would you do to keep them entertained - would you do just like a 'play date' type thing, bit of food and cake with a few games at the end?

Also - Party food idea's..As its near dinner time i'm doing a few s/wiches etc but what other type of stuff?

Am actually quite nervous about it I couldn't sleep last night with thinking about it

Aww bless I'd just do snadwiches, and normal party food, with some fruit!

I think they might still be too little for organised games, do you have a ball pit or anything like that?

I'm getting my list together of things to sort

I think i'll just have a few toys out for the wee ones then like you say, i'll get his ball pit out.

I've been trying to think of games for them but there's only really pass the parcel cos they are quite young i don't think they will get the concept of other games like musical chairs etc.

I'm gunna do like a little picnic type thing when it comes to the food I think.

It's so scary how quickly its going isn't it?? Libby is 2 on MONDAY

Anyway, we went to a 2nd birthday party today and TBH all Libby and the other children wanted to do was run around They attempted pass the parcel but only a couple of them actually wanted to sit nicely (and that didn't include Libby ) I think the ball pit idea is good but I personally wouldn't bother with organised games. xxx

We've been to a couple of birthday partys this year but they have been at the local village hall so much more space, and admittedly they did just run round for a good few hours lol. This party will purely for kiddis though, no family coming to this one. He's got like a play tent too and i'm going to get the crawl tunnel tomorrow that goes with it.
I think i'll do one round of pass the parcel though.

I've been shopping today and looking at all the 'goodie bag' stuff - they are so good They've got loads at Toys r us, i wanted to get them all

I know!! I can't believe my baby girl will be 2!!!

We've not got alot planned, got family coming tomorrow and Monday we're taking her to soft play, then Maccy D for dinner, cant wait!!

Libby came home with a Peppa Pig goody bag today and she LOVED it, it just had a few cheap toys in it and sweets but she carried it everywhere (even blinking Tescos ) so they are definately a good idea.
