There's a lady I work with and she's pregnant too, she's 10 weeks ahead of me. She had her 20 week scan the other day and then wasn't around on fb for a few days so i sent her a message saying I hope everything went ok, anyway she uploaded piccies a day later, but no reply to the message! And no reply to other messages since!

When she's in front of me though she will be all nicey nicey, but then just ignores me on the net! I'm so pissed of, it would have been nice to have a pregnant friend to share my pregnancy with.

Ah i would feel a bit upset too, but then also think she wouldn't be worth having as a friend if she is going to be so rude. You have all of us to share your pregnancy with, and will make lots of lovely new mummy friends once you have your baby x x x

heya weird you should write this, i had two friends who were about 5 weeks apart when they were pregnant and although they always got on, they almost completely stopped talking to each other during their pregnancy and once their babies were born - i wonder if its a protective thing, maybe she feels like you have stolen her pregnantness!
(oh and yes, maybe you are being just a little sensitive )

Some people are plain odd! I work with people who can sit in your office and gush like your best friend and then blank you in asda.

But usually pregnant ladies do bond and share all the little details that non pregnant people are not interested.

I'd say to her - oh I seen your scan photees! Didn't you get my message?? - just see what she says.

i agree she's not worth it. be civilised with her at work but other than that i wouldnt bother tbh hun. im sure you will get plenty of mummy friends soon xx

hun, she is not worth it, i have majority of my work colleagues on fb and they all not worth it in the slightest to be honest.

enjoy your pg and ignore her, be civil but i wouldnt go out your way.

I also hate it when its the other way around too, when they speak to you on FB, comment on your status and write on your wall then when you see them they blank you like they dont know you! grrr

Maybe she's a bit annoyed at you for taking her pregnant thunder. It's petty but might explain why she's off with you. My sister in law announced she was pregnant the day before my 12wk scan and I remember being a little pissed off. Which is so silly but i just felt like that. Hopefully she'll get over it, but if not forget her she's not worth it. xx

I would ask her if she got your message.... I turned off my notification email for private messaging on my fb, as if a group one was sent I would get hundreds of emails.

So sometimes it can take me days to realise that somebody has sent me a message, and almost never if I am on fb on my iphone as I have to click into the Inbox to update it.
