C's christening is 7th november and we have sent out invites saying due to crimbo and bubba on way we cant afford a party after but are going to a restaurant called cosmos after for dinner if anyone wants to book themselves a table. I booked a table of 25 on internerd for after for us, grandparents and godparents but they said they couldnt do the time i asked so to phone them and when i rang to change time they said i have to put down a £5 per head deposit. We dont have 125 pound spare right now! What shud i do, text everyone and get them to book own tables only then we aint sitting together. I would hate for us all not to be able to go out together after

could you not do a buffet in your home ? x maybe ask guests to bring a bottle and a plate of food ?

Its a huge place. Neil thinks he can just about cover the deposit then hopefully get it back of off ppl, we have been pretty honest about not being able to pay for a do after right now hence going to a restaurant and anyone who wants to come pays for themselves. Feel really tight but its the way of things right now, we have enough in savings but the fecking time share payment is due in a month and havent even fnished saving for that yet. Still trying to sell the fecking thing. We thought about a home buffet but theres about 40 ppl coming and we have a 2 bedroom house so it wud be like sardines

Yeah 12.50 all in, thai, indian, chinese, dim sum, and a variety of puddings including a choc fountain

I would make sure that they all know you are paying the deposit on their behalf if you are going to do it. You dont want people pulling out at the last minute and then you being stuck with the cost x

Difficult one hun

If it is £12.50 per head would you be able to ask 10 people (yourselves, grandparents, god parents, maybe a close friend or two) if they would mind paying for their meal in advance and then they just don't need to pay on the day. That way you get your deposit and it saves any messing with the bill when you get it.
