took D to get her feet measured today ,, she is now a 4 g/f but still got a few weeks left in her current shoes apparently
anyways looking at new shoes for her the cheapest pair were in excess of £30 !
i was in tescos and picked up 2 pairs in sale for £5
has anyone else just not bothered with clarks shoes ?

We have a variety, a pair of Clarks and some DC's at the moment, but she has also had Hush Puppies, Adidas and some cheap croc style shoes. I don't think it matters where you get them from as long as they fit OK, and Libby woud certainly tell me if she didn't like them or they hurt her!! xx

Callum rather has trainers on but we are planning on gettin another pair of clarkes soon x

I've never had to bother with shoes for Thomas coz he has a bent left foot so he gets special boots from the hospital to try to correct it ( but saves me a fortune). He does have crocs or slippers for around the house too but tbh I wouldn't dream of paying £30+ for a pair of shoes for him or Hannah when she is older. I think you can get some really good quality shoes for half that price and as long as they fit they are fine. If I'm completely honest I really don't 'get' the whole clarks shoes thing? Ok so they are measured and fitted well etc but does that mean that shoes from Next or George are gonna damage my childs feet? I'm sure they wouldn't sell them if this were the case. And besides all that I actually don't think Clarks shoes are that nice (just my opinion/taste).

I do buy Clarks shoes. Well only once so far as she on her first shoes. I do intend to get her Clarks again. Her feet are a G which is quite broad and I too was a G as a child and my mum mainly got me Clarks or Startrite(sp?). Even as an adult I cant wear certain brands of shoes as theyre a tad nippy. As a teenager I could never have Nike as they were too narrow.

I wouldnt mind her wearing Next etc to go with certain outfits, but I would like her to mainly wear Clarks. maybe if she had a standard fit I wouldnt worry so much, or maybe if she was in primary school I wouldnt care so much. I dont think you will severly harm your child if you chose not to, but I just reckon Caitlin is comfier in Clarks at the moment.

i buy Clarks shoes from Ebay. I paid £6 for a pair that had hardly been used !!! I also had a pair of pink/white baby adidas trainers in excellent condition 99p !!! x

I had this problem last week. Aimee has always had Clarks, but the ones that they had in her fit (g) were really plastic looking. I don't mind spending money on them, but not if they look cheap.

I ordered her some Chipmunks from the Internet and they were about £10. Got them yesterday and they are great x

I couldn't find one so I just looked on eBay and there are shop sellers on there x

Izzys first few pairs were, but the last 2 pairs which were trainers and wellies - I got from Sports Soccer.

She is a standard width so its easier, I imagine if a toddler has wide feet it would be harder?

Anyway I got a pair of trainers and peppa pig wellies for £16...less than the shoes alone in clarkes!
Things is she absolutely wrecks shoes now, so why pay through the nose?!
