After i posted last week about c feeling hot and being clingy and grumbly but nothing specific seems shes finally decided to come out with a full blown cold. Shes been coughing like a 20 a day smoker for last few days and if shes sat on my knee just breathing can hear her chest rattling. Shes also got streaming snail trails, isnt eating much and is ever so grouchy. Last night she climbed up on me and tried to go to sleep in my arms like she used to as a baby. We gave her her bedtime milk and i carried her upstairs and she was out by 5.50pm! She slept til 640 this morning! Staying in today and trying to find my damn thermometer as she feels hot as hades too. Shes been asleep for 2 hours now already.

I know Lisa M's LO is not right at mo either and im sure Suse said Libby is off colour too. Anyone elses LO's hurting atm? Poor little bubs its horrible isnt it. Aside from calpol and cuddles im not sure what to do (some nurse i am eh lol but im great with other ppls sick kids honest, its just mine that upsets me!) as i dont think she needs to see gp with her chest just yet as she feels hot but not burning up. Most cough mixtures for kids are rubbish and you are paying for nowt but im gonna try the vicks on the feet thing tonight someone mentioned, Ive also bought some actimel for me to see if it helps my nausea any so might give her a bit for next few days just to see if it kick starts her appetite a bit. Cancelled my footies shift tonight as its bang on her bedtime and dont think its fair for me to bugger off then and leave neil with it when its not actually my full time job just a pocket money shift. Any other thoughts?

Have you tried the suggestion that is in the suggestions bit on here (sorry, im lame, I cant think what its called).

Apparently if anybody (kids or adults) have a cold, you cover their feet in Vicks Vaporub and then put socks on... within 5 mins its supposed to stop the cough immediately.

I am desperate to know if it works x

Yeah i think its in my post part way thru im gonna try it but wasnt sure about doing it in the day was gonna try it tonight at bedtime. Might do it this pm though and see if it helps and then reapply it at bedtime to help her sleep comfy

aww poor chicken! hope she gets better soon, Lilly has now got the cold/bug that i had, she is really hot, snail trails too and a cough but she seems perfectly happy atm so i am waiting for the clinging baba!! xxxx

Poor Chicken, hope she is ok soon. Bethany had a cough for about two weeks, finally got rid of it last week and started with another one yesterday!!!!

I would be interested to know if the vapour rub on feet works.
