| Say you had a few million pounds, would u help out ur children or let them earn all there own money? Say you had a few houses in different countries, were retired at 40, but you children were grown up with their own young families but were really struggling. Would you: A: Give them any thing they wanted B: Set them up with a house etc C: Give them 'pocket money' D: Give them nothing at all.... |

| I'd definitely give them the deposite for a house and pay for any training etc they wanted. I think it's important to earn your own money so that you appreciate it but if my child was truely working hard yet not cutting any breaks I'd definitely step in to make their life easier. |

| I would want to still teach them the value of earning it. I wouldn't be one of those rich parents who withheld money as a power/control trip thing tho. Defo would put some in a trust, and give them some type of allowance, but would like to see them do their own thing. There is a self made multimillionaire here in town who built a company for his kids to run. They are successful at running the property development business and work very hard at it. He gave them each a million dollars to put into real estate, as well as trust funds for his grand kids. I think I would do something like that. You see what happens to people who are just handed the keys to the kingdom...like Paris Hilton! |

| I would set them up and buy them everything they needed but I would expect them to do something with their lives in return, wether it was setting up their own business or studying for a job they loved or voluntry work somewhere I would not allow them to sit on their bums and expect handouts.

| I would say option b). I would like them to earn it themselves and I would ensure that they did learn the value of money and did a job for a living, rather than doss about, but I would also make sure that they had a home/deposit for a home and didnt get to a point where they were in heaps of debt just to survive. x |

| I'd pay for all the costs for uni fees/place to live/food and buy them a modest house to start them off then I'd hope theyd be able to survive on their own. If they wanted to start a business then I'd help out but wouldn't just give them anything they wanted |

| id want hannah to work but I would set her up so she had her own house and never had a mortgage to pay but wouldnt just give her anything she wanted. think how simple life was if you never had to pay rent or mortgage repayments and all your hard earned money was yours to pay off your bills and whatevers left is your own.
would also pay all her uni fees and uni fees of any of her children x |

| Of course I'd give my kids anything that I have (I do now) but I think it's down to the parent to equip their kids with the education and social skills to get on, in their own. I would hate my kids to be finacially dependant on me forever, not because I'm mean but because i want them to be successful. |

| I would deffo buy a house or at least give a good deposit and try and help in other ways too but I wouldn't agree with supporting them indefinately as I think it is important that they would try and support themselves and not have the attitude that they wouldn't bother if the parents supported them. |

| I would do very little more than I am doing now/ intending to do for Wil: Set up his pension fund - although I would put more in it Save regularly for him until he is earning Pay all his school fees and fund him through Uni (it is going to cost me a fortune!) Give him a decent deposit to a house so he can get something decent |
