Its sooooo cold today Im tempted to put the heating on but feel bad, its only October?! I havnt been in the UK at this time of year for 5 years, is it always this cold, i dnt remember it being like this in Oct!?

What??? You're mad woman - it's freezing!!! We started putting ours on the end of September because I was chilly We don't have it on at night and it was only 17 degrees in here this morning so I whacked it on straight away and it's set at 21 degrees (nice and toasty!!) xx

Lol susan! Its prob coz i wear my pjs and dressing gown in the morn and eves i dont feel it as much Im going to have a bath now so ill turn it out and warm my towel up on the radiator umm! x

Yep - ours is now on! I was cold in bed last night for the first time too - time to drag the winter duvet out I think. Car was frozen solid this morning and there's snow in Scotland - Hello winter!

The front of the house is getting warmer now as Mr sunshine is showing his face! But the back and upstairs is fffffreezing. Snow...thats mad I must admit i do quite like it, it feels christmassy!

We have had ours set to come on in a morning for a few weeks as the girls sleep in the loft bedroom and it doesn get cold up there sometimes, plus we have found they sleep a little later as they are more toasty.

We have started to put it on in the evening for a bit the last couple of days though I do try to hold off where I can cos I really dont want a gas bill like last year

I wish I could figure out how to set ours to come on - I've read the instructions a few times and attempted to set it but I'm going wrong somewhere might have another look today coz the kids are waking up with freezing hands and feet now.

Iv had it on for 1 h in the evening for a cpl weeks. Got a fill of oil last week and have went bit crazy having it on for 1hr in morning and 2hrs in evening. How have you coped without it before now???? Must be a lot warmer there than in NI!

I dont know how I survived last winter.... I heard this winter was meant to be even worse. I need to buy fleece pjs and those blankets with arms. My heating bills are ridiculous cos I cant bear being chilly! Im practically making love to the elcetric blow heater as i type this

Mines been on for ages, I hate being cold! I set mine to come on in the morning and when we get home from school etc. This morning there was ice on the car and I freezes my ass off in the play ground this morning!

It hasnt really been that cold down south until today! Me and my mum are usually the first to feel it too! Ive got to walk to the post office and gym later too not looking forward to it!

we have had ours on for about 4 weeks, allday everyday, we never turn it off although it is only on low x

Ours was on this morning. Its on most mornings and for a while in the evenings to give Flick's room chance to warm up. OH has set it quite high so we don't have to keep it on for so long. And we have turned the radiator in our bedroom back on. As well as our duvet we also have a 'foot' blanket. This is another duvet that hangs over the end of the bed and goes over the bottom bit of our sleeping duvet to keep our feet warm when we practically ahev the duvet over our heads

we've got a storage heater so stick it on for a bit in the morning and it's warm the rest of the day

We have storage heaters that only turn on at night to heat the day so we just have the main one in the hallway on witch is working but i notcied last couple days gettin colder so the others will be goin on very soon xx
