I'm always a bit unsure of what size portion to give ava, I'm paranoid i'm either going to underfeed or overfeed her. Is there set guidelines on how much food you should give in a day, her weight gains been fine and she's stayed on the same centile.

Porridge for brekkie

Lunch I do blw so a bit of a mix ( always worried about this one becuase she seems to scrunch up more food than she eats)

Dinner: Homemade puree and fruit or yoghurt

dont worry, they will tell you (or you get the hint) when they've had enough. just feed her until she literally closes her mouth or pushes spoon anyway, thats how i judges it with Cerys. Or, if she has shut her mouth etc, offer her something different to eat and then see if she refuses or has a munch lol !! i would rather over feed Cerys healthy food than under feed her and fill her with snacks in between xx

I used to worry about this too and Lisa gave the the fab idea of of weighing it and comparing it to jarred food (with the home made meals i made)

i worry too. for brekkie alfie gets a small bowl of porridge, dinner he gets a dinner (i.e. meat and vegetables pureed with a yog) and tea he gets pureed veg. he seems to eat loads tho and im worried that hes getting too much. altho i got him weighed y'day and he s now 18lb 11.5oz and following the 75th centile perfectly so guess i must be doing ok

i'm so confused now, someone from my birth club put their daily menu up and it's over double what I give ava, I like the idea of using the jar size as a guideline but how many snacks should I be giving?
