This time last year we booked tickets to see Peter Kay on 26th of next month. We also bought two for my parents as christmas presents. The problem is they are my sole source of babysitting

Anyway at the time I figured Thomas would be nearly two and Hannah will be nearly 6 months and OHs daughter is nearly 18 and is brilliant with the kids so we would let her babysit (she has asked in the past). Anyway apparently not all 18 year olds are like I was and after her latest display of immaturity I have told OH that I don't want/trust her to do it. She was also supposed to be bringing her boyf as he drives (incase of an emergency) and is also an extra pair of hands as it's a lot to ask of an 18 year old to get my two monsters to bed for the first time single handed. Well they are constantly falling out and I'm not sure I trust him not to let her down and say he can't make it.

I wouldn't be so bothered if we were just going down the road but we are going to Sheffield which is a 35 mile drive (over an hour on rubbish roads). Now although like I say - she is great with the kids, she is extremely immature for her age and the more evidence I see of this the less I find myself trusting her and I also don't want her to do it alone.

So now OH has seen his arse with me and I'm stuck with no babysitter and don't know what to do

Yeah he did some gigs earlier this year hun and this is part of that tour (not sure why the big gap in dates) but we couldn't do the earlier gigs in manchester coz they were all around my due date. I went to see his 'mum wants a bungalow' tour in Liverpool a few years back and he was brilliant. I've been really looking forward to it but now I'm not even sure I'll be able to go

I have done exactly the same. Booked comediene Sarah Millican for 7th March 2011 and bought mum and dad tickets, they then bought my sister and her hubby tickets, we now have 6 kids in need of childcare on a school night oops..... anyone want them they are 13yrs, 2 x 11yrs, 6yrs, 17m and 2m at present

Aww what a shame we all live so far apart - we could start up a BANDA babysitting group and help each other out

We live 130 miles away from all of my family and friends otherwise I would have been spoilt for choice - times like this I get home sick
