| well my younger son who is 9 is so very slow , struggles with understanding things and has the worst memmory ever , its like he cant retain information no matter how many times /ways you teach him he still doesnt know the days of the week, how to tie his laces , cant tell time at all , doesnt know basic addition or subtraction you would have to meet him to see where im coming from,, he is too slow for being in pimary 5 ,,, we firmly believe that there is something underlaying than him being "a slow learner " anyways after 3 years of the school telling us oh he will catch up by end of year his new teacher finally listened to us and agreed,, i feared him going to high school things getting worse ! his speech therapist no longer requires to see him which im happy about ,, his reading and writing have come on great ! neater than my other son in p7 so generally he is quite creative it was decided at his annual learning assesment meeting that the educational pysch would meet with him and that has now happened ,, on friday the school called and asked me to meet the pysch today at 2.30 for " feedback" from her meeting :S im quite nervous ,,, i would love for my son to actually be able to catch up on his own but at same time im hoping she actually does pick up on something so it can be worked on both at home and in school ,,, right now its like banging head off brick wall
