OMG Im gonna throttle my OH. We had our names all picked and our girls name was camryn annalisa and yesterday OH announced he doesnt like camryn! So at scan we hve found out its a girl and had to start choosing all over again OH has spent today suggested old biddy names like josephine or bethan (josephine jackson, why not just put her on the child protection register now!) and ive flatly refused So ive written hm a short list of ones i like: Eirwen, saoirse, ailsh camryn, kiara, keren, ilana and awen. Hes looked at it....and said he cant pick one right now! All ihave is a promise it will be one off my list. Im an anal retentive control freak who hates uncertainty, does he not realise the risk he is taking laving me dangling. I had c's name from 20 weeks on and i hate not knowing stuff. Its driving me nuts. Small rant over

Im gonna try and sneak in either Eirwen Ilana Jackson or Eirwen Annalisa Jackson as he wants annalisa as middle name but think it sounds a bit too much with eirwen too

a compromise? I let david pick ava's middle name sneakily because ava skye sounded better than skye ava, just plant ideas in his head and eventually he'll think it was his idea.

I like - and im going to spell them in my ignorant NI protestant way - Eilish, Saoirse, and kiera/ciara/kiara (all pronounced the same here). Ciara prob my fave I like Celtic names, hence Caitlin. Caitlin quite a safe name for a prod here (im not religious but ppl make so many assumptions based on names here... its silly) Celtic names are either worn with pride or trepidation if you have strayed into certain areas. Pity... What about Niamh, or Aoife, or Keeva - (no clue on celtic spelling there!) Agree with others, plant seeds and make sure you get final say! Once bubba here everyone gets used to the name anyway.
