seriously most of dundee thought the world was ending last night we had a 4hour thunder n lightening, hailstones and snow storm - lightening was mental and thunder lasting well over 30secs
ive never seen anything like it and there is still small rumbles of thunder now and some little lightening, snow is back to being heavy aswell

I would have died with fright I'm so so scared of storms but have to admit would be nice view from my house as I can see the who island and mainland from mine

it lasted more than 4 hours, i heard/saw it when i was up at 1.30am and it was still going on at about 8am
my OH had to abandon our car down the road and walk to work at 7am, poor lad!!

apparently it's called Thundersnow, Dundee got a mention on the wikipedia entry

Im not good with normal storms let alone anything llike that xx

On Fri night here we had an hr or so of flashes and hail/snow type stuff.

Today iv woke up and there a sml covering of snow everywhere, mainly hail type balls. Not sure if there was a storm last night again, I went to bed at 8pm, got up for an hr at 11pm as was starving and then slept again from 1230-930 12 hrs sleep and im still tired.

Anyway your storm sounds so scary! Think I def would have woke up!

I love storms. (as long as no one gets hurt)
