I was advised recently -by a fireman- about little ones in car seats; this time of year as they wear bulky coats, car seat straps are often not done up tight enough. The consequences of which I'm sure you'll all appreciate

So it's best to take the coat off before strapping them in, then put back on once they're out the other end of your journey.

I've put an extra fleece blanket in the car to put over bean once he's buckled up - for that time-gap between getting in the car and the heating kicking in! I know it's not exactly ground-breaking news but just thought I'd share - was going to put in kiddiewink bit but couldn't decide between baby & toddler

Any suggestions on what i can do with a little madam that can somehow get her arms out out the straps even though they are as tight as can be!?

sellotape and bungee cords!

I have the same issue Terri and the only way I find he will keep his arms in the straps is if he is wearing his big coat - that's that idea knackered then
