Would anyone be interested in this?

OH and I already sponsor 2 children each.

But have also been looking at sponsoring a family too.

It's a little more but i thought if we all sponsored the same family or or even 2 families then we might be able to make a difference.

it's just the normal way of doing it.

i thought if we all picked a family or two then every month we'd donate say £2 each. you;d send the money straight to them not to anyone else.

This is one place that does families

http://www.hopeafrica.org.uk/sponsor-a-family.php

World Vision only do sponsor children they no longer do family sponsors.

Yeh just for the old man

You know we could set up a giving page http://www.justgiving.com/charities ?

EDIT Maybe not Shocked The greedy feckers charge £15 a month to have a just giving account! How is that good charity?! ANd
then 5% + VAT* charge on each donation made through our site
(*We charge VAT, as we provide a service in return for a fee. We're working with HMRC to see if we can change that.)

OMFG thats stupid.

there must be a way i know there is i just know there is!

That you can find the details of a family and send it direct to them or hand deliver it yourself.

its really bugging me that i cant find it

To be honest I think I'd rather give to African families anyway, there is NO ONE in this country who suffers poverty and hunger anything like they do in Africa.

Kelly it says ''Donations you receive through your fundraising page can be split between up to 5 charities'' which would be ideal for BANDA as a giving page because everyone can support different charities. I've added Hope Africa, they say to just contact them to add more charities (if and when we decided to add any?)

I started an account on there for BANDA, which you are more than welcome to use on FB - as we can have more than one person managing it ''To grant permissions to a user please search for the user below. To create a personal user account go to our registration page, to register your details (you will need to logout from this account first)'' So you would need to create a personal account and then I give you access to that banda account

Do you think that would work? I think so but its up to you

Sponser 3 kids as well! One in Indonesia..one in Honduras...and one in war torn Palestine. All of them GIRLS, as I feel it's the women in these impoverished countries who suffer the most! I want to help empower and educate these young girls. Too often I see women and children are the victims of mostly a male dominated society in these countries left abandoned..beaten/abused and starving. Always give back..it's good for the soul! xxx
