i was wondering does anyone go for a sleep in the day when babies are in bed? , ive never done it because i usually use that time to catch up with housework but sleep deprivation is starting to catch me up, i don't go to bed until midnight and am up by 6.30.

sometimes, in the afternoon after i've finished work I will if I haven't got a lot else on while she sleeps but to be honest it's hardly ever as I usually have a million and one things to do.

It's so tempting but no I don't. But I usually go to bed really early as it's the only way I could cope!

I like to think I do, but in reality I may do it once a week. I normally get carried away on here, doing poker work, cleaning, blah blah.

Now Lily is here I have tried to do it a little bit more, but there is always something more pressing that I need to get on with.

i never have wish i did in the early days with paige..

but now im starting to get sleeping with this preg.. so i think i will try n change paiges nap so its a good time for both of us x

when i was pg i was always napping, you need it, i think i'll have to go to bed earlier but i like 'me' time on a night.

i used to when she went down but i tend not to now
sometimes though when she is sleeping i will lay on sofa with a blanket and watch what i want to watch on tv and relax x

i do, maybe once a week. only if im really tired and ive done everything that needs doing. my OH is really good and would let me everyday if i wanted but i wake up depressed as its a waste of a few hours x

wheni have an afternoon snooze i generally wake up moody and the hangover feeling and i hate that ! x

Now being pregnant I can't function without sleeping in the day, I am soo tired all the time. Before that though very rarely, i used the time to go online, do housework, sort bills out etc.

depends how rough a week iv had it. iv been exhausted the last 5/6 days with the kids being ill. i slept for almost 2 hours after taking my painkillers this afternoon... after having been up since 7 to go to my mums to take her round a zillion car garages and private sellers to find "the one" so i was knacked, covered almost 300 miles.

Ohh i havnt done that for ages! I used to but then id feel guilty and lazy after

No i never did i cant sleep during the day unless im ill. When callum was a baby i literally had no sleep people use to say have a nap when he did in the afternoon but i just cudnt x
I use his nap time to do quiet housework and to catch up on here n FB and to have the tv to myself for abit x

im the same michelle, i feel really groggy and have a bad head if i sleep in the day.

I get the 'hangover' feeling too!

I do sometimes but often dont. If you are getting up at 6 you do need to go to bed earlier i have learned that with having an early riser and 11 is my latest now so i get 7 hours

i think you just get used to being tired, i used to get at least 8 hours in the week and 10-12 at the weekend, now im functioning on 6 or 7 on a good day, NYR maybe get to bed earlier.

I need to start going to bed earlier too, i get so tired about 5pm then when its a reasonable bed time (9pm-ish) im wide awake! So i dont usually go to bed till 12 then it takes me an hour or two to get to sleep!

i used to sleep with Rowan when he was very young.

i had a nap a few weeks maybe more ago and as per normal got the hang over head ache.

i always feel crap after a nap

Im guilty for not going to bed till atleast 12 either x
Oh sometimes works till 9.45 and callum is in bed at 9 so if i go bed early i done get any me time and me and oh dont get anytime together x

i never sleep during the day unless im hungover or ill or if alfie had a bad night. i get enuf sleep on a night tho - we usually go to bed at 10pm - 11pm at the latest and alfie doesnt tend to wake till at least 7 (been 8/8.30 over hols) so ive been getting about 9 hrs sleep a night which is good going i think!! x

I never do this as am usually at work. When I was on maternity leave i should have but i always found jobs to do in the house! If i could do it over again i would deffo take advantage of the day time napping xx

sometimes when leo's at school and oliver naps i will have a power nap, if i nap for more than 45 mins i wake up feeling worse so just a quick one if i had a late night xx

me sometimes, usually the morning nap ass he only lasts 2 hours or so in the morning and if I havent got dressed yet I just go back to bed!
