Hey ladies
I know there not lots of us with big families but i thought i would start a thread for us nutters who have 3 or more kids.

I am gonna start by listing a typical weekday in the life of mummy with 4 kids.

07.00 Get up and get all 4 kids out of bed for breakfast and to get ready for school. Make 3 kids breakfasts, feed Sam and make sure everyone has everything for school and have brushed teeth etc. Also feed Sam and get him dressed.

08.00 wave the older kids off for school and wash the dishes and get myself dressed and ready.(around this time i drag a brush through my hair)

08.30 get Sam in the pushchair or car and take archie to nursery then go home to tackle the housework and washing with sam stuck to my hip or leg!
End up cleaning the whole house and doing about 3 loads of washing per day. Thank god for the dryer!!

11.30 get Sam in the pushchair or pram and go to school to pick archie up.

12.00 get back from school and make the boys dinner. Then get archie out of his school clothes, wash the dinner plates etc and tidy up again then put some more washing in.

13.00 sam goes in his pushchair for a nap. Archie watches telly. I go on the computer to check emails, send invoices etc and do phoning round.

14.00 sam wakes up so we have an hours play and snacks and probs do some more washing.

15.50 big kids come in from school and throw their stuff all over the house. I make sandwiches for everyone, have arguments with older kids over getting changed, state of their rooms etc, wash dishes, tidy up!
The 3 boys will usually play together for a couple of hrs now and the house is extremely noisy.

18.00 bathtime for the younger kids for about half an hour then its tidy up time again.

18.30 get all the kids doing homework if they have it

19.00 i make a start on the tea. A proper meal.

19.30 Sam has hi tea and bottle usually sat on my knee.

20.00 Sam goes tto bed and we sit down for our dinner (ben may or may not be home by this time)

21.00 i do the dishes and tidy up AGAIN!! Archie goes to bed.

21.30 Tom goes to bed.

22.00 chelsea goes to bed. I will usually be putting washing away or doing paperwork etc.

22.30 sit down wit Ben if hes in and just veg out!!! I will usually go to bed well after 1am cause i need time without the kids.

In between my day i will have Ben constantly ringing asking me to do stuff and the phone rings off the hook all day.
Once a week i go supermarket shopping and once a week we go to playgroup and i see my friends sometimes too, and somedays i may have a job in my bus but thats pretty much my week lol.

My life is pretty quiet compared to that! Although I know it will be different when bubs arrives but with the age gap between Aron and this one being 7 years it will be a doddle compared to you Mara! You deserve an award!!!

My days atm once boys are at school tend to be spent running Hoover round, tidying up and trying not to fall asleep for too long!!

7.30 read to all 3, or scott reads to us,
8.00 Put holly and Kieran to bed, get Scott in the bath.
8.30 scott gets out dried and into bed, i do my housework, have a lil chill out time either on here or watch tv or soemthing
10.00 do soem coursework and write tom (oh)a letter
11-12.00 (depending on how much coursework) i go to bed best part of the day! lol

so i do worry about how im gonna manage with a newborn too, coz ill be at uni next year instead of college, but also Tom will be home by then, so hopefull will be a lil easier!

burger a\ll that!

i have a wee routine going. but nothing like that, i couldnt put it to parep as im quite relaxed about times etc.... im never late for nothing thou so i cant be doing too bad Smile

so long as the weans are fed and watered their 3 main meals a day, i dont forget to collect them from schools etc and they are bathed and in bed no later than 8pm.... thats a good day for us Very Happy

i hate routine, so do the kids. we like to just decided spur of the moment, ahh burger it, lets go get messy. so i lump them in the car, chuck the essentials in the boot and off we go. the mess will always be there when we get back. there is burger king and chippys to bribe them to behave Very Happy

im all for bribing Very Happy

althou on a sunday, i do stand and do my ironing. i HATE having to get up in the morning and realising the school stuff isnt done!! i also make the lunch box up and make sure school bags are sorted the night b4. a habit iv always had frommy own school/college days. home work always gets done after dinner. kids always get changed when they come in from school and get kicked out to play while i make the dinner. i do have a form of order in our lives. i do prefer the term organised chaos thou Very Happy

yeah but i bet if you wrote down what you actually do in a day and wrote down times for a week you'd see more of a pattern than you think!! lol
i thought i was very unorganised with no routine but for a college assignment we had to keep record of what we did for a week (about time management) and i did the same things at the same times everyday!! i do the above with shopping on a tuesday evening, and scott goes to football on a thursday evening and sat morning, so doeant leave much time to not be in a routine! lol
how is lil ben now laura? havent spoke to you for aaages!! lol xXx

Hi. I have a routine that involves lots of shouting Mad
I get up at 6.30 to have my shower. Pauls makes me cup of tea.
7am get kids up and start shouting to get ready for school. Sometimes they want breakfast, other times its cereal bar and toast on the car. We are ready really early to go to school cos oh wants to get to work and i can't do all four on my own.
8.20 all in the car to drive 5 miles to school (kids are in the school i work in, but i'm on mat leave) Drop 2 older ones at school.
9.30 home and sort out house etc.
10.30 feed Eoin
12 lunch for Siobhan
1.30 feed Eoin
2.45 school run again (Eoin screams in the car again)
3.30 Bedlam when we get home trying to get kids out of uniforms and sort out tea.
4.30 feed Eoin
5 tea for kids.
5.15 Paul home to cook our tea.
6.30 Bath or shower kids, milk, supper and tv.
Eoin stays upstairs with Paul to go to bed.
7pm bottles washed, lunches for next day etc.
7.30 Siobhan in bed
8pm Ciara and Callum in bed.
8.15pm glass of wine and chocolate
9pm bed
Eoin usually only lasts til midnight then i feed him and am up with him 2/3 more times til i get up again at 6.30 and it all begins again.
I am back in work in 2 weeks too.

I always said i wanted four kids. I must be mad. It is very hard work when they are small. They all want me at the same time and for different things. I think oh is going to get snipped. The dr said to wait at least a year. It is hard to think i will never be pregnant again but i don't think i have the patience or a big enough house!!!!
Your Holly and my Siobhan are the same age. She was born on the 29th Dec 07. She is a monkey.

i am the same mara, for all the sickness and horribleness that comes with pregnancy i did enjoy it. I have to think to lose weight now. Get rid of all my baby fat which isn't shifting after Eoin.
Loola my kids are Ciara 6, Callum 4, Siobhan 2 and Eoin is 3and half months. I was going to say their on my ticker but i havent done it on here yet.
