H is on anti b for chest infection. Anyway when oh went it to check on boys last night Lewis was having trouble breathing so he got him up and brought him in our room. He started coughing like a right barky cough and raspy breathing. So tried to prop him up etc and eventually he fell asleep. He woke a couple more times with this cough. I suspected it could be croup. This morning he seems ok so read up on croup and it's says usually starts in the night etc etc so phoned docs no appointments today even though I said it was an 8m old baby. So phoned back spoke to nurse and explained symptoms and she's got me an app at 11.40am. Why couldn't the receptionist have put me through to nurse in first place grrrrr makes me mad!

how bloody annoying, some doctors receptionists seem to think they own the bloody surgery hop lewis is feeling better soon, croup is quite distressing for all of you, its quite a scarty thing to watch when you think theyre not breating very well but its usually not serious, hopefully will clear up soon xx

it does wonders, or even patting their back and getting them upright usually loosens the mucus too x

Its usually worse at night so def worth the steam treatment if it starts overnight. It doesn always needs treatment unless its causing breathing difficulties in which case a dose of steroids can be given, fingers crossed its all over soon

that drives me mad!!! when we had the car accident a few weeks back we wanted to get lily-ann checked out by her own doc(they know her condition better than a walk-in) called up two days in a row to ask for appointments, within 5mins of opening time, we were told all appointments had gone...went to walk in, they decided she was better off seeing her own gp, the walk in doc called up our docs surgery and instantly got an appointment for a couple of hours later...it#s a huge p*ss off i hope the lil guy is ok!!
