woman - its the tayside police control room do u need any assistance
at this point im thinkin omg the police just randomly phone u to see if u need assistance how weird is this
me - nope everything fine (with a confused tone)
woman - r u sure because u just phoned 999
me - no i dont think anyone from here did im in alone

i then turn round and see evan holding the other phone and thought oh shit

me - im so sorry it seems my son has picked up the other phone and even though the keypad is locked it has still let him phone 999
woman - ok thats fine but are you sure everything is ok and u dont need assistance
me - yep everything perfect thank you and once again im so sorry

i was so embarrased thought i was gonna get in trouble lol

it was my house phone so when he phoned the number must have came up and i think on there system it automatically comes up the address linked to the number and persons details!!
ive had to move the phone to the top of the fridge for time being cudnt think of anywhere else he cant reach or climb to lol!!
i normally let him play with the phone to, i didnt realise when locked it can still phone 999

who ever the phone bill holder is is how they usually get the name. i think :/ its summat like that ne ways

Ooooh dear. Yeah i think most phones can phone 999 even when no signal or such like. Its like the big exception

lol, i found rich when he was about 3yrs old on the phone talking to someone, he had dialed odd numbers and got some old lady, she thought it was funny....

Also when they keypad is locked on a mobile phone kids can call 112 (which is the same as 999) I found this out after a lady called me lol xx

Apparently you can cal 112 from a landline too (even if the Keypad is locked). It is the European 999 number so if you are, for example, in France or any other EU country and don't know who to call dial 112 xx
