i've never given ava juice before , apart from some diluted fresh orange when she was constipated. I always give her water as her drink apart from milk. Was just wondering what age did you introduce juice to their diet and what type did you use?

ummmmm we don't give eli juice except fresh orange as you say and even then it's really diluted. elijah loves water so i don't think there is any need in giving him flavoured water or juice - but i guess you would want to go with sugar free (but then aspartame? yuck!). i saw hipp do flavoured juices but they are really very expensive...maybe very diluted fresh apple or something?

nah i don't think so - i think personally if elijah suddenly refused to drink water and i was worried he wasn't getting enough fluids i would give him juice, but he is so busy trying different foods still and new textures etc i don't think he needs a bottle of lucozade to go with it (jk)

I haven't given Stephen any juice yet and I don't think I will do for a while as he's quite happy with his water and milk so I don't think there's any need yet. All the ladies at babygroup made me feel weird for not giving him juice too If she's quite happy at the moment with what she's having then I'd just leave her to it xxx

alfie has juice alot f the time. i use robinsons no added sugar juice and alternate flavours. he loves orange and mango. he didnt used to have juice - he would have water. but then when he was poorly and in hospital they gav him juice to increase his blood sugar levels and since then hes never really taken back to water alone. i dilute it ALOT. literally i do 8 1/2 oz of water to half an oz of juice. it only colours the water. but hes happy and drinks alot more fluid this way so im happy enuf to give it to him. i wudnt bother ava with juice if she is happy with water Jo x

Aimee didnt have juice until she was about 18 months old. Mainly because she seemed happy with water, so I didnt bother changing it. When she started to get bored of water, I just got sugar free juice and she has a drop of that in her water. x

Thomas still prefers water now so that what I give him mainly unless he asks if he sees me having it. I only drink water or very dilute sugar free cordial anyway so he has what I have normally. Hannah has had a little sip of mine and Thomas' cordial before (so she didn't feel laft out ) but again prefers water so that's what she has the majority of the time. I know what you mean about feeling weird because people seem to think I'm depriving Thomas by giving him water until they see that he actually prefers it so to them! xx

Ollie always has no added sugar squash, if I could get him to just have water I would. Stick with water if she's happy with that and screw everyone else

| OH and I agreed that ellie would not have juice as water was much better!
Anways, when she got to 12 months she was hardly drnking so I put a bit of sugar free cordial in her water and she loved it so now she has it most of the time. I just give her the same stuff my other two drink ie Robinsons and vimto (sugar free).
When oh and I agreed on no juice we also agree no junk food!!!! Ellie is now the proud owner many happymeal/Burgerking toys!!! Lol

Amelia has never had juice of any kind. My reasons for this being that she happily drinks water and I hate water so I want to encourage this as long as possible, and I'm allergic to most squashes and juices so I'm a bit worried she'll have inherited it. I remember having literally blinding migraines when I was 3 or 4 caused by juice.

| Wil drinks various dilute juices. I buy Sainsbury's own brand sugar free versions because they don't have asparthame in them.
