Its only been in the last month or so that ive noticed Tayla has a bit of a lisp sometimes. Now im not sure if its an actual lisp or whether she puts it on (i think i might of encouraged it by accident by talking back to her like it )
She says things like 'mumssss' but then 5mins later will say 'mums'
Could it be her teeth changing thats making her do it? I know from when ive had teeth out, brace etc that its taken me a whole to talk 'properly' again.
Im not too worried at the moment, but if she carries on is there anything i should do to help or encourage her?

lilly has quite a big one, when she says sss sounds in words her tongue come right out her mouth if you get me?! lol!
my mum says i had one too when i was little but grew out of it, im not sure what you can do but it could be just due to her mouth changing?

Thomas does the same hun and I was a little worried about it - I think I asked Laura and she said Aimee does it too and since I have heard loads that have done or do it so I think it's pretty common. The more Thomas practices his words he does seem to be dropping it on some so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Thanks girl, it seems quite common then. Its just odd that she only does it sometimes. Ill have to stop copying the way she talks too !

I was jus about to do a topic about this! Lilly has a lisp her tongue pokes through her gappy teeth which makes it worse hope it goes

Terri just talk to her like you would an adult and then she will copy the correct way to pronouce words (oh and end up with your accent)

Yeah i dont 'talk baby' to her i just take the mickey without realising as she calls my sister Lauren 'Lozssss' so we all starting calling her 'Lozsss' but weve stopped now and she has got better since ive posted this, its just every now and then she will say 'minesss' or mumss'
