Been up the hospital all afternoon with Ava poor wee lamb has bronchilitus .. id never heard of it before and am told it is very common in new borns .. but i blame the hospital tbh as while there having Ava i became really ill with sinitus which is probably why my wee girl is so poorly i blame myself but i blame the hospital too

sorry to hear she is poorly, i know a few people whos newborns have had that, hope she recovers quickly xxxx

sorry to hear your little one is poorly is she on antibiotics? i hope you avoid thrush this time! hope she is getting better

thanks ladies .. she had a comfortable night and is being a wee trooper i think it upsets us grown ups more than it does them ... as for thrush got that aswell so taking creams and Ava has nystatin but they are changing it as she isnt well enough to digest it... i felt so bad yesterday as they stuck tubes up her nose and down her throat to test her mucus ive never heard a baby scream like that before it was heart breaking

Awww Hun poor Ava, you really shouldn't blame yourself, there's not alot anyone can do to stop a baby becoming ill.
I've heard of a few newborns who have had it, I hope she gets better soon xx

Gracie had this a few times hun, dont blame yourself i thinnk its the time of year seasons on the change so slightly warmer days but fookin freezing at night and no matter how tight you wrap them they will pick these things up the good thing is it only ever lasted about 5 - 7 days in gracie so its quite a short illness.

Hope she is feeling better soon hun - its a good excuse for lots of newborn cuddles xxx

she just had another bout of projectile vomiting caused by the mucus and she didnt even cry bless her ... on the plus side she is 9lb7oz now so gaining plenty and fast

awwwww well at least her weight is good - when she is a bit better see if they will prescribe you fluconazole, it is a tablet and will get rid of the thrush really quickly, i sympathise with the nystatin its absolutely awful. at least her little body is getting the mucus out! it must be really hard to see

Thanks i will ask for that... its hard to see her so poorly i wish i could be ill for her .. aye nystatin is pants i had it for my son when he was wee and it didnt work in the end they gave me some gel to rub into his mouth daktarin and it was gone in 24 hours had to use it for 7 days though
