its really starting to get to me now. it seems like hes all of the time. hes missing loads of time from nursery and im paying bloody hundreds of pounds a month and im missing time off work. he hasnt been well today and im sure its his teeth as he has cut his back molar - it is actually showing through the side of the gum rather than through the bottom.

His symtoms are:

- very high temp (not sure wat as my thermometer has broken but hes red hot so ive had to strip him down to his nappy
- off his food
- dribbling like a waterfall
- twisty
- tuggin at his right ear
- cheeks
- slept quite a bit today
- generally seems in lots of pain crying in his sleep

How long will he be in pain for??? I cant stand to hear him crying in pain. Now im prob gonna have to keep himj off nursery tomorrow - luckily i think gavs gonna try and take the day off. Looks like im in for a very long night!

Does sound like teething to me .... poor little man

Maybe try an amber teething necklace, even if it eases the pain ia bit its worth it

Arh i dont know wat to suggest maybe some fresh air might help him. I hate it when MY lo is ill, especially when they cant tell u. My LO tugs on his left ear too i have put it down to teething. He hasnt any teeth yet.

Just give him plenty of fluids which u are prob doing already and calpol

Hope he gets better soon, its crap that u have to pay for childcare still rip off that is.

yeah i think i may order one. altho by the time it comes he'll prob be fine again! I always thought we had escaped quite well with the teething malarky but i guess its come to bite us on the bum!! x

Its still worth it - cos the back teeth are much bigger - how many does he have now?

i send rowan to nursery unless hes actually ill as the distraction is good and forgets about his teeth.

the nursery will be able to look after him as they will deal with teething babies all the time.

Sounds like teeth. Id go for the full arsenal of calpol, brufen, gel and powder and id go or a neckace too. Im inclined to agree with kel too. Might be better for him to stay in his routine and be distracted. Can they give him painkillers at nursery?
