I hated every second Sad I've already had a run in with my boss Evil or Very Mad They were supposed to have sorted out a nice induction back into it which didn't happen so I was stuck in the office with hardly anything to do and no friends to talk to so that made me dwell on it. I was supposed to finish at 4.15 as well and was planning on being straight out the door but they made me stay till 5 for a stupid meeting Sad so I was stuck in rush hour then and it took ages to get back to Stephen. My line manager decided at 5 that she would actually catch me up with what work I'm supposed to be doing and seemed shocked when I refused to stay! My boss jokingly asked me on the way out if I'm coming back, was very tempted to say no! Damn you lottery, why won't you let me win Back to work tomorrow 284723

She asked you if you where coming back. Sorry it didn't go well hun that is shocking the way they treated you and especially on your 1st day back. Leaving it to 5 before having a proper chat knowing fine rightly you would want to get back to Stephen asap, Hope tomoro is a better day hun xx

I do know how you feel, I was dreading my return after 13 months off. I hated my first day even though the organisation and my colleagues were great. One of the HR officers arranged a catch up / settling in meeting.. She still reminds my that I growled my through the meeting and was really negative.

I can honestly say after two weeks I was loving being back at work. I only work 3 days as I do a job share now. But somedays I get quite sad as I prepare my handover/ update to my jobshare pal.

I hope it gets better for you........ I think it will xxxx

it will get better, i spent the first day really tearful and like babymilly it was probably a good two weeks before it felt ok. i now quite enjoy it, its nice for the adult converstation and i appreciate the time with ava all the more.

aww that's rubbish - i hope it gets easier. i haven't been into work (oh wait, i left in the end haha) at all since last april, but im doing a few casual hours this week. mine will be different though cos i will be working alone (hooray) so no mean arseholes making me stay late....

i think it was totally unreasonable to make you stay late, and i get the feeling a lot of workplaces dont recognise how hard it is to go back to work and leave your baby behind.

hope the rest of this week goes better and you find your rhythm Smile x

Thanks ladies, I'm sure it'll get better, I'm so glad that I at least know I'm going to have some more time with my babies (fx) by the end of the year!

Pixel, I've been in a couple of times but they don't do keeping in touch days because they'd have to pay me and they won't Rolling Eyes and no way was I working for free!

It's because it's so tiny, it's a poppy seed, you can just see poppy under the 5. I might change it so you can see it! xxx
