With lillie I made ice lollies up for her to suck on, but she was that bit older. just to get any fluid down her. aw hope he gets better soon for you!!! hate it when their poorly horriable!! xxx |

| See if you can get hold of some Arrowroot biscuits. They taste like rich tea biscuits but arrowroot help stop vomiting. |

| Hi Lou,
Its hard when their ill as you cant really do nothing apart from give them calpol, try just going back to the stage one pureed jars just to try an wean him back on the food. Try giving him snacks rather than meals, breadsticks are good and will help settle belly.
An hour b4 bedtime take him for a walk for some fresh air i find it tires them out and might bring his temp down
But the fluids are the most important. oh and mommy cuddles
Hope he gets better soon
Char

| http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/EndecaSearchListerView?storeId=10052&langId=-1&catalogId=10551&stReq=1&searchTerm=Dioralyte&newDepSearch=&x=21&y=8#container this is the stuff you are looking for, it will help rehydrate him. keep an eye on his temp in case it gets too high. if he really isn't eating/drinking personally i would ring nhs 24 if he isn't looking better soon - better safe than sorry. |

| Eeeeh i feel really bad as if alfie passed this to benji - i swear i thoguht alfie was over it!! sorry babe!! anyway the doctor told me to avoid milk cos it can upset their tummy which is why he was prob sick as you lay him down. i remember alfie done the exact same thing. give him water mixed with diorylite (sp) and little things to eat like digestive biscuits, toast, breadsticks. his red cheeks will be because he is being sick so much - he will be getting dehydrated. its awful but if you keep him toped up with fliud u wont have to worry about him being hungry. he proib wont really feel much like eating anyway. hugz hunny x |

| for you and Benjy. You must be exhausted. I am sure it was on here I read about the BRAT diet for sicky bugs
- Banana
- Rice
- Apple Sauce
- Toast
All help to bung up and keep stuff down so even a little bit might help. Dioralyte works (I used it for myself) but I really struggled to get Wil to drink it because it doesn't taste particularly nice. I ended up mixing tiny bits into his juice and he took it that way. |

| As previously said Dioralyte would be advisable. If you get really worried about him not drinking and he starts to look dehydrated or vomits more than he is taking in ring NHS direct but they are likely to tell you to see dr in the morning or go to a&e. If you do go to a&e they won't send you away and you are likely to be admitted to a ward to see a paediatric dr and rehydrated. That is pretty much what we do at work. Is he still having plenty of wet nappies?? |

| not as wet as normal no, he has mega bad nappy rash thou, so ive been changing him more frequently...so that could be why?? although, i didnt change his bum for a few hours, and it was only damp?? he doesnt drink that much water, i have to get him to drink it out of a proper cup...he refuses the bottle (with juice in) or a beaker...strange little man lol yeah, i know, i'm hoping this is the last couple of days, because this has really hung about for him |

| If you are changing him more frequently then it might look like he is weeing less. Keep an eye on his nappies because if he does become dehydrated then that will be the first thing that stops, and never worry about taking him to the drs or even a&e ( i've never seen a vomitting child turned away) |
