Hi Ladies, Well since noah turned 8 months, his been pulling himself up on the sofa, walker and dog. His actually started to climb on his bouncer to try and get on the sofa today. I also caught him up one step on the stairs, i crapped myself i am actually investing in a stair gate now. What age to babies normally start to walk at? he cant stand up yet form standing position but is making a bridge with his legs lol. Whats the nxt stage from this? Thanks Char

i think it varies, i have friends that lo's did at 10 months and others not unitl 18 months. ava's over a year and not walking yet, she's been pulling herself up since about 8 months too and cruising since 9.5 months , she will walk holding mine and hubbys hand so i think its mainly a confidence thing.

All babies are different hun. Thomas walked at just under 11 months and was doing similar things to Noah at similar stages so he could be an early one. Hannah has been cruising since about 8 months and can now leg it around the room with her walker and just this week has started standing without holding on so she is obviously starting to get her balance. Eeeek I could have two toddlers by the end of this month? xx

^haunting image! eli is still cruising but started pulling to stand the day after he started crawling (bit of a surprise week!) he was somewhere just after 8 months. he lets go of things now and sort of jumps to the next couch/chair/person and will stand on his own for a few seconds at a time....eek happens fast!

bumps bumps bumps seriously char i thought about buying a crash helmet for elijah a few weeks ago - he seemed totally determined to give himself brain damage things are a little bit better just now - at least he puts his hands out when he falls or makes some effort to protect his head, but yeah....he was starting to look like a battered child for a bit there!
