PostSubject: Detangling hair   Detangling hair EmptyFri Apr 08, 2011 4:18 am

Imogen has lovely hair thats getting quite long now but we're having a bit problem with it matting at the back. It's like she's trying to form some dreadlocks back there. We wash it regularly and i give it a brush every day but the brush isn't getting through it and not even washing it well seems to be unmatting it. So any ideas? I'm thinking a detangling shampoo &after wash spray and a decent brush.. I looked in Tesco but i couldn't find anything like that. Any one use a specific product they could recommend? Also what kind of brush do you use for your LOs? i think the one i'm using is more for babies rather than toddlers.

when me and my sisters were little I remember my mum using the loreal no more tangles (I think thats what it was called) it worked! We all had hair down to our bums lol.
oh and I think she proba used a comb to brush through the conditioner which got out most of the tanlges before we got out of the bath. I think she used to loosely plait it over night too so that it didn't get all tangled up in the night

Thats what i was looking for no tangles but couldn't find it, i reckon the tesco near me is just crap tho. Laughing
I'm gonna try a comb but I forgot to mention Imogen really hates me pulling on her hair so its quite a task. going to have to be done though.
Good idea about the plait. I've tried bunches and ponytail but they come out but a plait would hold better i think.

my middle sister hated her hair being pulled too I think my mum just slathered the conditoner on and if you hold the hair at the top of the head then gently comb through the rest it should hurt less as you can stop it pulling against her head, plait deffo work for night time Wink

yes try putting loads of conditioner on then brushing through befor you rinse it off, also when you brush it dont start at the roots, start at the bottom of her hair and work up(so your getting rid of the bottom lugs first and not just pushing more down...if you get me scratch ) xx

I use the Loreal for Kids and its great. I have to make sure I brush her hair as soon as she gets out of the bath, but it does work.

Our local asda were doing the Loreal Kids for £1 per bottle (when I got Aimee's).

I will keep an eye out if the offer is still on and bring some to the Bham night out if it is.

we use Johnsons tangle shampoo and+con for paige.
Seems to work well.
And we brought her a+little mini brush from superdrup which gets the tangles out better than a comb
